The little faith I had left in cryptic is gone Posted: 04 Sep 2020 02:43 AM PDT Let me start off with this I love sto I always have loved the game i have loved it from day one right up too today. however i will be honest the creeping amount of issues the game has and continues to grow on a daily basis is starting to become too glaring to simply ignore now, it honestly feels like cryptic barely even cares anymore only seemingly interested in only pumping out the next lockbox or promo ship pack every 3 months and only doing the very bare minimum as possible in order to keeping the game engine running while ignoring bugs and glitches that have plagued the game for years ignoring the the continuing degradation of the game engine ignoring the increased lag and rubber-banding issues. I may very well be down-voted for this post but i'm not sure i can keep silent about my true feelings about the state of the game anymore [link] [comments]

What is a Mission you always dread when leveling up a new Character? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:10 AM PDT For me it´s gotta be "Coliseum" from the Romulan Mystery. Starting with another "Run from A to B" Puzzle solving section, then a depressing melee only section and another Run from A to B section where you at least have firearms. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Sep 2020 05:10 AM PDT I almost never make negative posts about STO on here. But I feel it is necessary to speak up about the state of the game right now. I have never had any issues running STO in the past. However, as of this summer event (which is sadly over already), the game has become increasingly difficult to play. The lag and rubberbanding has become almost unbearable at times. And it isn't isolated to a single zone, it seems to be everywhere, even in sector space. I would normally have spent much more time on Risa, having laughs with everyone, but it was so laggy it just wasn't enjoyable to play there. I understand STO is 10 years old, and free to play, but if the game can't run smoothly, what are we to do? Also, the amount of coding errors has increased, especially regarding the event system. The galactic red alert for example isn't tracking progress as it should be, instead it is displayed as already being finished, earning bonus dilithium now. I don't understand why this has become so difficult for the team at Cryptic to get right. Anyway, I still enjoy STO and have been a Star Trek fan since childhood. I just want to see this game done right. God speed. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Sep 2020 03:26 AM PDT Daniels went to the year 2020 and irreparably damaged the time line so bad that the STO universe no longer exists. If you do not believe me try to log on. [link] [comments]
Which is the best carrier pets for the Vo’Devwl carrier? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:35 AM PDT I want to get the most damage here. It seems the squadron kinda act better than previous fighters but the bop have beam arrays. [link] [comments]
Would you get the new promo Inquiry-class? Posted: 04 Sep 2020 12:16 AM PDT Lets see just how many of us really want the new promo ship. I know i'm dissapointed. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Sep 2020 04:44 AM PDT Hi! I wasn't able to complete the summer event this year due to some personal stuff that came up, and I only had one day left. The buyout seems to be gone in the "Second Chance" tab-- is anyone else having this issue, or am I just out the ship? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2020 10:20 AM PDT I see people flying with mk XV gear and all I got is mk 12. Been playing on xbox1 and ps4 for a few years now and haven't noticed till now. Does mk 15 drop? [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2020 09:58 AM PDT I'm not talking about the top devs like the EP or those who may have actually had some input into how this ship is sold. I'm talking about the average folks who just make the content. Do you think they are just happy to get the gamble money (maybe they get some kind of bonus from it?) or do you think they know it's a complete reversal of the "normal ships go in the C-store" policy and also think it sucks for the players? Obviously they can't actually tell us how they fell for fear of getting in trouble, but what do you think? Or maybe, how would you feel in their position? [link] [comments]

Star Trek Content at Virtual DragonCon Posted: 04 Sep 2020 09:08 AM PDT Atlanta's DragonCon has gone virtual this year. Free streaming of the their panels, fan-casts, and recordings from previous conventions. There's a bit of Star Trek in there. [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Sep 2020 08:48 AM PDT Hello, fellow captains! While we wait for cert to complete and access to STO to continue on Xbox, I am wondering if their are any smaller KDF fleets looking for a new captain to grow your fleet and enjoy the game. I am strictly a F2P player at this time as I simply don't have the money to spend on Zen. Looking to roll a brand new Klingon Engineer with the upcoming House Divided update. Prefer a relaxed fleet that doesn't demand X amount of contributions as I honestly don't know if I will be able to hit certain marks. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
