Hoping we get the Lower Decks costumes tomorrow/this week Posted: 11 Aug 2021 09:30 AM PDT A few times previously Cryptic has released costumes to celebrate the premier of a movie or new season, so with tomorrow's premier of Lower Decks season 2 hopefully we will finally get the Lower Decks uniforms in game! We did the best we could with the parts currently available, but it would be nice to be able to update those designs with the actual uniforms. Oh, and how about that California class? 😍 [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Aug 2021 09:45 AM PDT I've always treated the fleet bank(or similar bank in other mmos) with a mindset that I will deposit something(items, money, etc.) when I withdraw something from the bank. For instance: if I have a lockbox weapon I don't need and there is a lockbox weapon in the fleet bank that I do need, I will deposit mine when I withdraw from the fleet bank. Do you treat the fleet bank as a quid pro quo, in that you will deposit something of equal value? Or is it more of a free for all, where you can take anything you want regardless of if you put anything back of similar value? [link] [comments]
Dil sink idea:Let us buy a moon Posted: 10 Aug 2021 03:16 PM PDT Yes, I am serious. Lemme lay out why. What is the true end game of STO? space barbie. We love showing off our characters, our ships, our builds. Whatever. Anything we can show to other players, we will. Now, we do have social areas we can show off as well with our bridges but I think it was 2014 when I last had someone on one of my bridges. There just isn't much point honestly but what if we had a true personal area? Several times in the TV series' we see people buy moons. Quark and Mudd to name a few. Why shouldn't we? make it a fully functional social area we can customise and invite multiple people over to. Full customisation too, more than 2 golden ships in our ready rooms. I'm meaning display rooms, show off a model of our favourite ships in an atrium area (literally just take our ship model and scale it down), entire walls to put every ship we have active and flex our personal fleets to others, meeting rooms for fleets to organise, medal rooms to show the events and campaigns we take part in. As for functionality, it could have a shooting range for actual numbers testing on ships, as we have been wanting for ages. It doesn't have to spawn enemies to fight (likely increasing server load a hell of a lot) but some consistent target to test against. Just as many features as possible to make it worth buying on buying, this is where it becomes a sink. Buying a moon aint cheap. It should take a lot of Dil to get one, a couple hundred thousand maybe or it could be a bit less than that but all the customisation costs dil too. Just thinking of this while watching Discovery so there is plenty more that could be done here but the core is it needs to be something players both want to show off and even add functionality like cheaper research or something. Fact is, we need a huge Dil sink if there is any hope of fixing the markets. Something like this might be it [link] [comments]

Reclaiming multiple Bajoran weapons from the DS9 pack Posted: 11 Aug 2021 10:46 AM PDT Is this possible? I read an older post (about 4 years ago) that said it was, but now I can't seem to reclaim either the Fed or KDF DS9 pack after deleting everything but the Bajoran weapons. Anyone know a workaround or am I just screwed here? [link] [comments]
Console - Universal - Saucer Separation Posted: 11 Aug 2021 07:39 AM PDT They really need to update the description information for this one. It says that it can be used on " Any Exploration Cruiser variant or Starfleet Dreadnought Cruiser variant (Tier 5+)". The way it's written, it SHOULD work on the Buran, Atlas, and Vengeance as well as the Galaxies. It's a minor thing, but I was a bit let down when I read it but then couldn't use it on my Atlas. Posted: 11 Aug 2021 09:12 AM PDT Any interest in a temp. agent bundle with upgraded Theseus, Paladin, Sagitarius, and Natulus ships? They could make new skins and put different seating for each. It should be sold for $80. But considering it's PWE/Cryptic they'd tack on another $80 for 'reasons'. I'm only asking because thanks to the 32nd c weaponry I've been flying the 26th vessels again and the beams somewhat compliment them. Thoughts and suggestions? [link] [comments]
Can I adopt a new player anywhere? Posted: 10 Aug 2021 04:07 PM PDT It's been a while since I have had anyone to play the game with, and fleets aren't really my thing since I'm in and out of the game. Is there any good place where I can adopt a new player, show them the game, craft stuff for them, etc? [link] [comments]
Are any of the Breen only consoles worth using? Posted: 11 Aug 2021 03:19 AM PDT I love the design of the Breen ships and use one of the carriers. Just wondering what people think of the Breen only consoles, are any of them meta worthy close to it if replacing something else? Just wondering if there any I should be looking at [link] [comments]
Beware: Liberated Borg 'Efficient' racial trait is bugged providing no benefit at any power level. Posted: 10 Aug 2021 03:40 PM PDT I know this isn't the official bug report forum, but I tried to submit an official in-game bug report as detailed here, but there is no Report a Bug option in the Help & Support menu. At any rate: the Liberated Borg racial trait Efficient Captain (built into their race) is not providing any benefit at any power level. With no skills selected, the lowest power levels are reading 15/15. If I log into a captain with the "Efficient" trait, the trait will read out as giving +3 power, and the power on the ship will show 18/15. [link] [comments]

Yet Another Dilithium Sink Idea: Refit (aka Upgrade) Admirality Ships Posted: 10 Aug 2021 06:48 PM PDT I have a bunch of ships in my Admirality roster that I would like to upgrade to higher tier versions, even though I don't use them often. Mainly the hero ships that I fly on the regular. Probably not super useful, but if I could get "Legendary" versions of my admirality hero ships I probably would. [link] [comments]
Dilithium Sink Idea Number... Just pick something already. Posted: 10 Aug 2021 07:33 PM PDT This has probably been brought up in the past, but why not offer a spend Dilithium to complete an Endeavors option or better yet just bake in a Dilithium for Perks somewhat like the Badass Rank in Borderlands. You spend say 20k in Dilithium to get a permanent boost that you can repeat as many times as you want, but with diminishing returns. This could be done on a per Character basis or Account wide. Worried about power creep? (well we kind have it now) but limit the impact of this boost to Episodes or TFOs How Boarderlands Badass_Rank works https://borderlands.fandom.com/wiki/Badass\_Rank [link] [comments]

Have to repeat Knowledge is Power? Posted: 10 Aug 2021 07:16 PM PDT I just got to this mission for the first time, and... yikes. And that's besides the mission itself, which I'm sure has been complained about a million times already with good reason. I completed my hour of opening doors and killing hundreds of npcs, and when I beamed out at the end of the mission it asked me to begin again and I didn't get any of the rewards. Is this an issue for anyone else or did I just get unlucky? There's no way I'm choosing to play this awful mission again, even for completions sake, if it's just going to not count and waste another hour of my time. [link] [comments]
Confused by the wording in a ship description in the zen store Posted: 10 Aug 2021 10:48 PM PDT So I am looking at the T6 Science Command Warbird - Deihu Class and it says this ship can be equipped upon completion of the tutorial and will improve throughout the leveling experience but then later on in the description it says required rank vice admiral. How can it be equipped after completing the tutorial if it requires the rank of vice admiral? [link] [comments] |
