    How are we supposed to get 2500 ambush kills when they haven't fixed the cloak yet? Kinda difficult to ambush someone when your damn ship won't decloak!!! Its been 4 years, plz fix this already.

    I'm paranoid to cloak during tfo because whenever I do I abandon my team by being unable to decloak.

    Not only are KDF & ROM cloak broke, but even hull image refractor console is broke, and won't always decloak.

    Discovery Era Holo-ships for Discovery Science Character Holo-fleet

    While playing Disco Tactical character, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Tactical Escort Team beamed in 2 Disco era officers with Disco weapons. I felt this fitted nicely into the idea of having a Discovery era Character, but I was disappointed to find that the Disco era Science character's Holo-Fleet still has 25th century ships. I would like this to change to Disco era Holo-ships please.

    Now the question that might arise is that we are in the 25th century, why would we want 22nd century ships, they aren't as powerful. The answer is that if you chose to be a 22nd Century Science officer, you chose it to be a discovery era character with discovery era modifications, if you don't want a 22nd century holo-fleet, just use the normal Fed 25th century Science character.

    Secondly, a holo-projector does the amount of damage, not the ships, if you project a Borg cube, you are still limited to the amount of damage the holo-projector can do. So it technically doesn't matter what ship you project.

    And Thirdly, there are enough types of ships to project while you are leveling up (example, holo-fleet I, Holo-fleet II, Holo-fleet III)

    Holo-Fleet I - Magee Light Pilot Escort and/or Hernandez Intel Science Vessel

    Holo-Fleet II - Shepard Miracle Worker Battlecruiser and/or Engle Strike Wing Escort

    Holo-Fleet III - Nimitz Heavy Battlecruiser and/or Hoover Temporal Warship and/or Cardenas Command Dreadnought Cruiser

    As you can see, this is a rough estimate of what ships will be there, this can change however. There are indeed enough ships for the holo-fleet.

    I really would like this to happen, I think it can work and it will really tie in more of that discovery element to Discovery era Science Character. :)

    (Just to be clear, this will only effect Disco Science Characters, not 25th century Fed Science Characters)

    Endeavors rerolling completed

    Why are endeavors coming up finished when I use a reroll token? My new endeavor set came up and I did not like one so I rerolled it twice. Second roll came up a finished energy type from two days ago. No reward was given either.

    I stopped at that point not wanting to waste another reroll token. Anyone else encountering this?

    • Chris' recent work include Molor's sword and mycelium weapon.
      • There's actually some difference between cutscene version and player's one for mycelium weapon, as it had to be adapted to be usable, as initially Westin cobbled it together from various pieces of other powers.
    • Chris mostly works in photoshop and only minimally in 3dsMax.
    • Most of Chris' work consists of realizing that he did it wrong compared to what he tried to achieve and hitting undo button.
    • Chris worked on TV before, particularly on "Battle 360°", although he was more on an editor.
    • According to Chris, "making a lightsabre" is basically an intro to rotoscoping.
    • By now, Chris as in Cryptic for more than 10 years, and for all that time he was VFX Artist.
      • Originally he joined to Champions team, but then moved to STO just before it launched and were here even since, with the exception of lending a hand to help with Neverwinter launch.
    • Chris' first work for STO was fixing gorn rock throw, because it stubbornly wasn't working, and team copied it from Champions where Chris was the one who designed it initially.
      • Among problems was the fact that STO names had underscore in them, while Champions didn't. Another that initially rock failed to scale, so he's throw "hamburger-sized" pebble.
    • As the one who actually makes the effects, Chris is aware that every time the power he's making right now would be running alongside with "97 other" and the result would be seizure-inducing glowy mess, but hes bossed just see shiny and want it to be shinier.
    • Technically grenade throw animation works like that: script glues grenade to the hand, starts timer and plays throw animation, and upon timer expiration despawns grenade in hand and spawns another in the air.
    • They're testing making melee weapons scaling with character size, for now they'll be tied to hands' size.
      • "Gorn throw a wrench into everything."
    • In STO weapons are technically an effects, while in Neverwinter weapons are parts of costume, which causes STO weapons to sometimes disappear when they shouldn't or fail to do so when they should. "It's kind of bad decision that we're stuck with."
    • The biggest thing that happened to engine was Lightning 2.0 that allowed a lot of new effects.
      • That also allowed them to have more true colours, because initially they'd just have to adjust RGB channels, separately, and resulting colour would always look wrong, particularly red would always look ping or orange.
    • At this point 30% of item library in STO is legacy items that aren't used anywhere.
    • Chris actually already made most of the Star Trek effects he wanted to put in STO.
    • Genesis device for Foundry creators were made by Donny and Chris in spare time.
    • Impulse trails were made from the very beginning to be as universal as possible, just different colours, with the exception of special cases like vaadwaur.
    • Cover shield was supposed to have all those hexagons crumble upon destruction or expiration, but it didn't work out.
    • Chris said that technically they can work in colour change for weapons, but CBS persistently says that this is forbidden thing to do.
    • Chris said that while he can't recall it fully, he thinks that, at least at the time, they were unable to make pulse phasers to look like they did in Wrath of Khan.
    • Cryptic is usually good at crunching, although historically they had some big ones. Worst one was 3-month while preparing for release, and it made Chris hate "Una Mas" because that's what producer who loved it constantly mass-ordered and team started complaining about the lack of variety too late.
      • Last big crunch was while preparing for Delta Rising release.
      • Current policy discourages crunches to avoid burnout because there would always be some new content to do and thus pacing is important, and if crunch is unavoidable, they last for a week or two, but then participants get downtime to relax.
      • Because of Mike's position he is exempt from the crunches and feels guilty for leaving on time while others are working and there was a time when he returned and bought everyone some candy and soda.
    • There were time when beam misses were shooting into weird direction. That's because there were some rounding error that would result in offset coordinate would be way too big and engine would default coordinate to this map's 0.
    • Initially DIS had huge lens flare, but then got rid of it, so Cryptic have to modify it eventually.
    • They can't make Nemesis-style hull-hugging shields because of some issues with Dx11 that too many people are still using. Chris just had meeting about that earlier this day.

    Every time I visit the bridge and go down to the Engineering deck, as soon as I leave the turbolift a bunch of people beam into the passageway. All I can figure is they're off partying somewhere until somebody yells "The skipper's back!" and they all come back to work.

    As long as everything gets done I don't care, but it'd be nice to be invited to the party some time.

    Replace drop-down menu with pictogram interface

    There's a lot of stuff in the PC version that could benefit from having drop-down menu interfaces replaced with icon and pictograms. Little things, like the Admiralty's sorting options. Under "Select role", just a few buttons with each career's icon on them.

    Antiproton mission rewards question

    I don't know whether it is a good idea, but I have gotten it into my head to try an antiproton build for the Alliance Battlecruiser from the 10th anniversary.

    Looking for a fairly cheap setup (at least initially), I checked for mission rewards I could use and saw the mission 'Fluid Dynamics' was listed as having antiproton beam and cannon rewards.

    Running that mission, though, on my level 30 character, the rewards were regular phaser weapons. Is this because of my level, or had something changed since the wiki page was last updated?

    Can't find my "targ of Gre'thor"- 11th anniversary bundle (XBOX)

    I have purchased the "11th anniversary bundle" and can find the claim/reclaim for everything EXCEPT the "targ of Gre'thor"

    I have reset the game twice(once for resetting after the actual purchase, once due to an infinite Sever Not Responding)

    I can claim/reclaim the Worf boff, the ships, already have access to the outfit, and can claim the title.

    I haven't found the claim for the targ- is it identical to the one PC players got from the event in November? If so, will the claim for it only appear after we get this event on consoles?

    Could find no info anywhere- anyone else having this issue?

    Mission Bug

    The Renegades Regret is bugged on Xbox. Can not progress in the story. When you reach the first system "the scouring of eohk" all weapons systems do not fire. Tried resetting consol. Look for game uodate. Tried abandoning and restarting mission. All the same.
    This sucks for my story rewards in klingon event.

    What do you think about the Risian luxury cruiser??

    I got two ultra rare Phoenix prize things tonight and I bought the breen ship and the Risian luxury cruiser. At first i just bought it for the irony because it looked funny. But I'm starting to like it a bit. I don't think it's really meant to fight other ships though? But It can take a lot of damage :)

    Why can't we use the Kamarag bits on the normal T6 Vorcha?

    After looking at the fleet version and its visual options at the ship vendor, I bought the T6 Vor'ral. Only to find out that despite owning the Kamarag, I can't use its parts on the Vor'ral as listed at the ship vendor. It is baffeling that I cannot use parts of a ship I own on another ship i own that tells you when you buy it that it can use those parts. You can mix and match all the bits from the Vorcha/Vor'ral/Vor'Kang/Tor'Kaht/Legendary Vorcha on any of those ships if you own the other ships, why then can't I use the Kamarag parts?

    I own the ships, let me use the parts as advertised in game. Please fix this.
