    Current Giveaways (Klingon-themed)

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 01:02 AM PDT

    Someone posted this in Qo'nos Zone last night and I couldn't thank them because the account/toon was not old enough to reply. 🙄

    Most of you probably already have those claimed back in May, but it's nice stuff for new accounts:

    To redeem, go here: https://www.arcgames.com/en/code-redemption

    Edit: Maybe they're rerunning the giveaways or they still had keys left, but both those links are also found in https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/nnaia5/sto_giveaways_promotions_mayjune_2021/

    I made a mock-up of what I thought the Courage-class did. I'm very sad I was wrong.

    Artificial lighting in the Luxury Cruiser's Atrium would be great.

    Artificial lighting in the Luxury Cruiser's Atrium would be great.

    Just got the T6 Risian Luxury Cruiser and noticed how very dark the Atrium is completely relying on outside light. It would be great if there were a light source inside to keep it lit and show off the lovely forest/island theme inside of it.

    QA question for Only Qo'onos Endures coming to console

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 07:29 AM PDT

    With this event coming to console, have the bugs that plagued the release on PC been taken care of prior to port?

    Given how long it takes, at times, to fix any bugs that come with any updates to the console versions, I'm worried about the implications of those same issues PC players experienced coming over to us.

    It seems like sometimes they are fixed prior to launch, while others just get C/P'd right on over.

    Copy and pasta;

    General:

    Resolved an issue where the Red Angel Suit costume unlock was not rewarded when buying it from Mudd's Market.
    Players who have already bought this product just need to reclaim it in the store and open the pack that has the costume in it.

    Resolved an issue that was causing the Risian Luxury Cruiser [T6] Admiralty Ship to be classified as a Science Ship, instead of an Engineering Ship.

    Resolved an incorrect description on the Enhanced Soliton Wave Generator, which was listing the wrong effects for the console's passive.

    Edit ✍️;

    Nothing on new Dil Sinks did not watch the latest Twitch so got nothing on that.

    Also don't forget the Event Campaign Part 3 starting next week on PC July 27;

    Sell ship slots for dilithium

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 11:22 AM PDT

    Having completed the Risa event, I realised that I'd be unable to unbox the ship as I've run out of ship slots and my drydock is full.

    Now I know that you can buy ship slots with Zen, but I already have 22 active ship slots, so it's not like I haven't bought quite a few in the past.

    Which got me thinking... when you buy a new T6 ship from the Zen store, why doesn't it come with a ship slot? It seems somewhat grasping to charge 3k Zen for a ship and then yet more to be able to fly it.

    And then an even better idea struck me: why not sell ship slots for dilithium as an ongoing dilithium sink?

    Tips and Tricks for new or returning players in 2021?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 08:50 PM PDT

    Although I realize these threads have been done throughout the years, I couldn't see anything recent in my searches, and the /r/sto FAQ seems rather dated as well in that regard. Granted, the info in the FAQ is all still totally relevant, so I get why it hasn't been updated much.

    For new or returning players such as myself, what would you veterans say are the tips and tricks of the current state of STO in 2021? Things new and returning players should and should not do, or maybe some neat tricks that many people may not know about. Figured it'd be fun to get everybody's two cents, as it were.

    Cheers!
