    Hey guys

    Played sto for a bit a while back, but I've been out of the loop for ages now and I've just started getting back into the game and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers.

    For some context. I've got around 4 level 60 characters. 3 human fed (1 of each career, and a Rom fed science guy.

    I have a tendency to get max level then get stuck as to what to do.

    So I have some questions if I may:

    1. I like the idea of playing KDF, However, last time I played the faction was completely dead and there were barely any qeues for any group content at the time, limiting my gameplay. Is this still the case?

    2. I never understood the way to progress when reaching max level. I could never understand how to get better gear other than reputation boxes, is there a guide or any tips here? Do people just spam group queues nonstop or is there something else?

    3. What is the ultimate end game content? I assume it's those elite group instances (can't remember what their called) Are patrols an endgame feature/worth doing? I've never done one.

    4. Duty officers. Am I right in assuming that assigning a duty officer to active duty gives you the buffs mentioned in their description, or does that apply them? I'm very confused at how duty officer work.

    5. The same goes for bridge officers and their traits

    6. I have prisoners/civilian people on my ship, why are they there and what can I do with them?

    7. Am I gimping my performance by not flying the ship class suited to my career? I.e tactical/escorts, engineer/cruiser etc?

    8. As someone who wants to play as a tank, is there a way to see my threat level anywhere so that I know I've "taunted" the enemy?

    9. Is there anyway in-game or out of game to test my ship, something like training dummy from wow or eve fitting tools for eve online on websites/apps etc?

    10. I can't remember how customizable the UI is, but is there any UI element that is considered a must to turn on/change?

    Ever since the "Double XP" weekend started I seemed to have been getting less expertise than before, now that it has ended, I am getting even less? Seems to be double digits per ship destroyed in patrols. Anyone else having a similar problem?

    Not an issue on my older characters since they have millions of expertise, but I have actually ran out of expertise on a new character and am struggling to make more just to complete reputation projects lol.

    I've been looking to add some new traits and this one comes top of a lot of lists but they seem to be a few years old. Is it still a top trait? It's pretty expensive on the exchange so I don't want to waste ec if it's not that good/nerfed.

    Console is becoming unplayable

    As the title says. Constant disconnects, having to close the game and restart it, switching characters and loading Risa is stuck halfway which prompted me to write this. Is anyone else experiencing all these issues with console? I'm on XBox. Cryptic clean up your servers or fix this stuff, I would be embarrassed to recommend this game to anyone right now with all the server stability issues.

    [QoL Suggestion] Option to pick up Common as EC

    Is anyone else's FOV not working properly?

    I set my FOV to 15 so I can take some screen shots, but it keeps randomly switching back to the normal 55 before I can line up my shots. Hiding and showing the UI fixes the problem, but only for a few seconds before it switches on me again. Anyone else having this issue?

    Help I accedntly clicked "demote" on the original Fleet Commander in Star Trek Online and I need help. Is there anyway i can cancel the demote?? It said it was gonna happen in 2 weeks. Is there anyway i can cancel that?? It was a lag that caused me to hit demote when i wanted to inspect them. If theres anyway to cancel it please let me know

    Grinding out Diplomacy Commendation

    Hey fellow STO players. Maybe I got in on this a little late, but I'm trying to get my PC to Ambassador rank. I'm role playing her as an ambassador so that's why this is important to me.

    Right now I'm hanging out in the Defera Sector and there's a fair bit of DOFFs for diplomacy, but it's not even close to getting me enough Commendation XP.

    Does anyone know a way I can actually grind these points out? Or do I just need to be patient and run a few operations at a time? I feel there must be a way to grind it out because I see a lot of other Fleet Admirals who are already at the Ambassador rank.

    Quick question about claiming an account wide reward

    So take for example the risa ships, it's an account wide reward and is claimable on every toon that I currently have. But can you claim these account wide rewards on a new toon after the eventis over? Thanks!

    Crafting and the odds of critting seems off

    It seems like the randomness of critting when you're making something an r&d is lopsie it.

    Say I want to craft a component without adding a catalyst the odds are supposed to be 35% to crit. And I usually get about two to three of those slots to crit.

    When I'm doing an item say like the exotic particle Field Exciter using catalyst I get my crit rate to 54% I'm lucky to get two slots to crit.

    It just doesn't feel like it's working correctly. Of course I could be wrong a lot of the time I am wrong.

    Risian lux Cruiser Bug?

    I completed the event and got the risian t6 lux cruiser and the first thing I always do with a new ship is see the customization options. unfortunately for some reason the customization is borked. when in the "suraya" config I can freely customize all available parts of the ship. when I attempt to customize the "luxe" config I can't change anything, it shows the option but closes the menu and keeps the "luxe" part when I click. If I start at "suraya" and swap in "Luxe" it works for about two pieces and then works. Is anyone else having this problem?
