    How come when Klingons scan things with their Tricorders, we don't see this tricorder? Instead we see a goofy hand device with two blade like antennas....

    [PC] DXVK (DirectX to Vulkan translation layer) may help with stuttering

    For anyone who's not heard of it, DXVK is a translation layer .dll that can help games with older engines like STO perform more smoothly on modern multicore CPUs by allowing the game to use the Vulkan API.

    My issue was that in windowed mode (or fullscreen windowed), there was some unpleasant microstuttering on my system, DXVK solved this stuttering for me and so now I can have STO on my main monitor and click out to browse on my other without stuttering!

    If you're experiencing a similar issue, it might be worth trying to see if it helps.

    Haven't played sto in maybe three or four years? And I decided to give the game a go again to see what's new since the romulan Republic was the new expansion I remembered playing.

    My highest tier ship is federation dreadnought cruiser tier 5, I'm just wondering how often you see players using these lower tiers anymore?

    Steam zen purchase not going through

    For some reason, zen puchaes keep not going through.

    Error message is "waiting for steam to respond to previous purchase"

    I have money in steam wallet and support hasn't come back with any answers.

    I have no choice at moment but to run non-steam version until this is fixed

    I only have one character I focus on for ships/meta play, but I've ended up with a few extra max level alts just from taking a breather and leveling for fun.

    They just sort of....sit there though. What is a general list of chores you have all your alts focus on?

    The -STO- community is a large body of active and casual players who share a love for everything Star Trek.     Deimos Destroyer/ Immolating Phaser Lance console questions.

    Hi Captains,

    Just a quick question: Could anybody tell me the details of the Deimos' console?
    I want the stats. What per cent is the phaser boost? Cat or cat2?
    What other boosts does it give?

    Also, is it available to use on all ships or is it exclusive to the Deimos?

    I have a few questions regarding a new Romulan character I'm going to make

    I'm planning on making a new Romulan character and plan to use the new Legendary D7.

    -What career path would be most fitting?

    -What specialisation?

    -Is there any benefits of choosing fed aligned or KDF aligned?

    -Can I use the legendary klingon boost on a KDF aligned romulan?

    -Would a Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid build work?

    -I like some of the science abilities like gravity well and that rift but I feel like a science build wouldn't compliment a Romulan in a Klingon Cruiser.

    Any answers or tips would be gratefully accepted.
