    I thought I knew what a battlecruiser was...

    The other day I finally got around to playing with the Legendary Konnie. After flying it around for a bit, I thought back to other ships I've recently enjoyed including my beloved Europa (an admittedly 'bad' ship) and thought to myself "I like Battlecruisers. They're a fun type of ship." I said this to myself confident that I knew what a Battlecruiser was. You know, 5/3 layout cruiser, can equip dual cannons, greater tactical focus than most cruisers, no hangar.

    I started to wonder if I had missed out on some older federation Battlecruisers that may be interesting, so I went and checked the ol' wiki for a list. I noticed the Command Battlecruisers were there and thought "Hmm, I've never looked at these" so I opened up the page for the Presidio and started reading...

    Hmm... 4/4 layout. Odd. I guess maybe 5/3 isn't specifically a Battlecruiser thing. Makes sense I suppose, since Battlecruisers began as a KDF-only category. I guess the ability to use dual cannons is what matters. Then I saw "Carrier Commands" listed. WHAT?!? Why do the Command Battlecruisers have a hangar? Why aren't these Dreadnought Carriers? Isn't that more accurate? So is the only real criteria to be considered a Battlecruiser the Battle Cruiser Starship Mastery?

    I know that in the past, ship categories have been a little more fluid, but giving a Battlecruiser a hangar just seems...strange.

    Random thought: a hull material exclusive to the Constellation that makes it yellow, like the one in Picard's ready room?

    The yellow was just to contrast with the reds and blues of Picard's RR, but I kinda want to see it in yellow, like the Micro Machine version I grew up playing with.

    Maybe call it a "Type 7100" hull material, after the registry on the model?

    I know this is a long-shot, especially since it's a low-tier ship, but maybe if a T6 Heavy Cruiser comes along?

    I just wanted to throw this out there.

    Have they been remastering specific arcs? I have been replaying some missions on the new Klingon recruit and some cutscenes are different for some missions but not for all i have played.

    My KDF toons keep running into this glitch where I cant see the abilities my active away team has available(which means I cant train them or swap out what powers they use)

    Anyone know of a fix?

    Couldn't find a recent post about this problem from a console player.

    -things I have tried: map moving. Promoting, logging out and back in. No bridge officer that I activate can I see the ability tray for.

    Also, during the testing for a fix, I slotted two more officers in my active away team and they suddenly un-slotted without me touching anything.

    I remember that it was supposed to be go to Reputation then Events then Store. Except now, I don't see Events on the menu. Am I missing something here? Did something change?

    Trophy Issues [as of March 2021]

    I have now earned every Trophy possible* between 23rd November 2020 to 17th March 2020. *This does not mean every Trophy has been earned.

    I hope this helps others, but it does not help the issue that there is a Trophy that is impossible to obtain, which is disappointing to find out. Trophies (and Achievements on XBox) are part of the PlayStation experience, and because one is impossible to obtain, this also means the Platinum Trophy is impossible to obtain. This surely is an issue that Sony and/or Microsoft would have a problem with. It's also hard to get some friends (who are potentially paying customers, are we listening Perfect World/Cryptic/ETC? I have a Lifetime Sub on PC and PS4, but prefer the console controller) to play when there's roadblocks like this in the experience. Anyway, this is to help others get to the point where there is only one Trophy/Achievement missing, and voice again that this problem needs addressing. Nothing changes if we don't speak.

    IMPOSSIBLE
    Trophy: VIGILANCE
    Report: This Trophy cannot be obtained.
    Solution: None. This story arc is gone. The missions A House Pursued and A House On Fire have been removed. The mission Alpha is now in the Warzone story arc. I read the Temporal Ambassador used to be part of this story arc, but it can still be found in the Yesterday's War story arc.

    BUGGED, but obtainable
    Trophy: SPECTRES
    Report: I finished this the first time with a Starfleet character and it wasn't awarded.
    Solution: I read online that a Klingon or Klingon-aligned character would have success. I made a Jem'Hadar character purely to get this Trophy. I reached the appropriate level to be able to begin the Spectres story arc, finished the story arc, and was awarded the Spectres Trophy.

    BUGGED, but obtainable
    Trophy: SPECIALIST
    Report: I spent 30 Captain Specialisation Points in Miracle Worker with a Starfleet character and it wasn't awarded.
    Solution: I made a Jem'Hadar character purely to get this Trophy (the same character as used for Spectres). Once the Tutorial was over, I was able to get this Trophy.

    FIXED
    Trophy: The Delta Quadrant
    Report: An Elachi map crashing stopped progress.
    Solution: The mission What's Left Behind has been fixed.

    FIXED
    Trophy: Vengeance
    Report: An Elachi map crashing stopped progress.
    Solution: The mission Devil's Choice has been fixed.

    FIXED
    Trophy: In Shadows
    Report: The mission Temporal Ambassador used to be part of this Trophy.
    Solution: The mission Temporal Ambassador has been fixed (found in the Yesterday's War arc).

    FIXED
    Trophy: Yesterday's War
    Report: A map transfer failure to the Enterprise C stopped progress.
    Solution: The mission Temporal Ambassador has been fixed.

    So I upgraded my least impressive foreword weapon array, after which the game seemed to automatically equip it to one of my other vessels. Weird. I tried to unequip it and re-equip it but in the process is disappeared completely. It's not anywhere in my inventory and isn't equipped on any of my ships. A google search didn't reveal anything. I'm hoping someone else has encountered it and knows how to fix it. I'm a little pissed, it was one of my best weapons.

    Now Available: 'First Contact' inspired character costumes

    We have created a new costume set inspired by the main characters as they appeared in the movie First Contact:

    The saved costume files are available for download here (inside the TNG section) and there are also pictures of the slider settings for those that play on console.

    Please note that these costumes were all made using the 'alien' species because it offers much more flexibility and allows for better recreation of the facial features of many of these characters. However for any that would like to do so you can convert the saved files to other species using the STO Academy tool.
