    Thinking of trying Romulans Again.

    Okay I have gotten some good advice on here so far. As I have posted elsewhere on here, I don't really care for the Romulans.

    But here's why: my first character in this game was a Romulan/Alien/Science Captain.

    And my R/L friend who got me started playing this bought for me Shamshir as my ship, and suggested the Captain.

    Well he was going to show me the ins/outs of the game. BUT life threw a wrench into that and he stopped playing.

    So here I was learning a game on my own. In a BIG ship, banging my head up against the wall.

    Well he made level 65, and shortly after awards I join a Fleet and found out how I REALLY didn't know about this game.

    So I really came to dislike that character, so I think that's why I deleted him, and not made any more Romulans.

    So I have been reading here, my fleet's forums and discord. And I am thinking about trying the Romulans again.

    So for you other Romulan player could you give a do's and don'ts for playing Romulan Republic?

    FYI: I have the Remans unlocked and Shamshir is the only ship I have or can buy right now.

    Mudd's stealing time choice pack - Temporal destroyer or 2 T6 Coupons?

    So I'm planning on getting the bundle, and is considering the pick-three options. The promo ship and the Verne are obvious choices, but the third choice is a bit tough one. Any suggestions? Also, how good is the temporal destroyer? Is the console and trait required for Verne, or critical for any other builds?

    STO Event Calendar - bugfix for PS4 calendar

    • Fixed a bug that was making the PS4 calendar use the PC data, as well as a subsequent bug that caused it to just fail all over the place.

    • Cleared and resent all event data for all platforms to their calendars.

    So I was looking into hanger pets for my Odyssey, thinking between Yellowstones and Elite tac flyers. Was wondering if anybody had thoughts about which pet would suit the ship best. Just have access to the fed hanger pets really.

    I think I hate the Voth Bastille.

    I picked up the Voth Bastille this weekend for a Talaxian KDF Engineer I rolled to check out the new Year of the Klingon content.

    It does what I built it to do; Gravity Welling precious salvag- I mean enemy ships across considerable distances and junks them.

    But it's just missing something for me.

    Maybe it's the look, maybe my main's Legendary MW Intrepid has spoiled me; but I think I hate the Voth Bastille even if it does do what I ostensibly wanted.

    I'm wondering if the Colony Raider might thrill me more or if I just need to wait for a KDF MW Science vessel.

    While pondering this, can anyone share images of Lukari hulls with various vanity shields in reply to this? Space Barbie will always make me embrace a ship.

    PS4 Upgrade Weekend is on July 9-12

    After four months, it's back! Of course, I just upgraded beams two nights ago. But no matter I get to experience mark 15 gear.

    Good luck players.

    Also, can you upgrade reputation torpedoes? I can't find my reputation made torpedoes in the upgrade selection box. It goes not show up at all. I'm using Undone and Dyson gravimetric torpedoes.

    Legendary Bundle

    Soooo… what's the probability that Cryptic releases the Legendary Bundle this weekend for the consoles? They did so the weekend before the Romulan Bundle was released on PC. But it just seems like they got a lot going on already this weekend.

    My both characters got hit by exactly the same bug

    at lvl 11 each of them - A Fed and a Klingon were supposed to receive their "initial duty officers cadre" - 20 Duty Officers. They did not.
    Klingon's mission just disappeared from the log.

    Fed - went to the designated NPC and even the message "your initial cadre... is ready" but then - nothing, neither.

    I did create 2 bug reports and asked GM for help but... nothing yet.

    Is there any way to reboot that mission? Redo it? Where should I seek help?

    so as we know theres no way to accurately define DPS on console so ive been occasionally posting - what I think to be big numbers - that crop up in the damage rolls.

    Latest: Nausicaan Energy Torp, Epic, TS2 - 101k+ damage, thought it might be a fluke but the next game did an 81k damage hit.

    Crossroads at Crateris 'Bug' with Slamek w/ Solution

    Solution First: To get around this bug, kill the little skittering metal bugs around Slamek FIRST then approach and talk to him. This should allow for the mission to flow like normal.


    So I was just watching a streamer get stuck on a bug with one of the early missions in the Romulan story arc (Crossroads at Crateris), which I was able to deduce and figure out how to circumvent it and have a possible solution for Cryptic.

    When you first approach Slamek, some people were reporting that he would get stuck and not move, breaking progression on this mission and forcing a restart in an attempt to get around this. What I noticed was that Slamek is able to be interacted with before cleaning up the Skitters around him. This breaks the flow logic of the mission somehow. By talking to him before you've killed the initial area of bugs around him, he will not path to the shuttle and will stay exactly where you first found him. Of course, to finish the mission you have to escort him to the shuttle but this bug makes it impossible.

    Cryptic, to fix this issue I'd suggest making Slamek impossible to interact with until the player has killed all the initial bugs around him first. Its common interaction logic you've used before, so I hope this helps!

    (I'm writing this post for any future people playing through this mission before its fixed and are looking for some help)

    Need help accessing next mission

    So as you can see in the picture, I can't hail the admiral at the moment. I have checked the available tab and he has nothing for me. I am standing in front of him and he has nothing for me. Im a level 34 Discovery Fleet Officer and I already tried to do the TFO Vault: Ensnared to see if that will bypass the mission lock. Nothing. Is this a bug or is there something I can try to get this mission unlocked? Already did instance reload and logged out and logged back in. Also did hard reset of the game and restarted computer. Nothing is working
