Can we get ENT era admiral uniform please?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 04:03 AM PDT

My ENT era fleet admiral just doesn't look proper in a blue jumpsuit. Seems like it would be easy to make, and it just looks damn cool in my opinion.

Edit: Thank you in advance, devs.

    Upgrade weekend question

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 06:24 AM PDT

With the upgrade weekend incoming I have a question on what works best. I have phoenix upgrades and omega quality upgrades. In which order should I upgrade using the Phoenix for tech pionts and Omega's for quality or does it not matter?

Got SNR booted going into event patrol and for over 5 minutes couldnt log back in. World of Tanks/Warcraft loaded up fine as did several other online games, no line issues, even the launcher failed to load and just got stuck up updating before erroring out.

Managed to get back into game then after 10s SNR booted again and same thing over again.

The best way (for me) to grind Dilithium.

The best way (for me) to grind Dilithium.

    https://preview.redd.it/5zy3yl4xe7v41.png?width=636&format=png&auto=webp&s=48ce2125d0d4363b9144973b707b952b4404c262

The dil grinding pattern below works for me, and costs me about 24 min per character or less when I'm shooting for just 8K per character per day. I don't do everything below on every character, but target 8+K dilithium per alt. I have access to a Fleet dilithium facility and the lifetime account additional refinement options, but almost never use it for the marginal increase in dilithium refinement. The real bonus from lifetime in that I never miss out on a chance to refine dilithium.

    Full disclosure:

    • I have 20 alts, of which I visit 10-15 per day based on available time. In the last few years I buy my dilithium as I earn more at work with the little time I have. However in the age of COVID-19, I'm back to grinding 'cause I have a little more free time.
    • I am not including Episode Rewards, Patrols or Endeavors in this breakdown.
    • And you don't have to be a high DPS player to do this, although I highly recommend you become proficient in normal TFO's before you routinely go Advanced or Elite.

    Here we go:

1.) 1200 Dil / 45 seconds : Start your day by visiting your Fleet Research Lab.

In the Development Lab, take a daily research mission. Do this before you slot all of your doffing assignments as it requires 1 slot for a very short period of time. It costs 20 each of Trionium and Duranium, and 35 each Verteron and Thorn particles. These are converted in 15 seconds into 5,000 research in your chosen school, 15K energy credits and a handful of higher value crafting materials and 1200 dil for about 45 seconds work. You find that your component costs are negligible through a combination of scrapping replicator trash, and 1 days reward can stock you with components from the exchange. I see this as a win-win-win.

    2.) ~3500 Dil / 3 minutes: Doffing Daily

This is an ongoing process you really only need to 1x a day. I know of some players who revisit each alt 2x a day to max out potential rewards, but i find this method is the most consistent and easy for me.

    • 2000 Dil / 20 hours: Turn over Confiscated Contraband. Obviously this means I'm search my crew quarter daily for contraband. On my KDF characters I get additional contraband from other doff assignments and marauding.
    • ~500 to 1500 dil averages / 20 hours: various doff assignments. The average payout I target are assignments with minimum payout as 50 dil, but there are gems hidden throughout that pay much higher. e.g. Relocate Colonists pays 500. Criticals count as the rewards can be tripled for dil. Start by talking to each of your department heads, and work your way to the current map and personal assignments. For me I can visually scan, select and move to the next assignment in a few seconds. Typing out this description took longer that setting up the doff assignments

    3.) ~1000 to 2000 dil averages / 5 minutes: Admiralty.

Like DOFF assignments, admiralty offers additional rewards with critical successes and is a daily task for me. While not as rewarding for dil usable anywhere, it has a number of added benefits in the number and types of rewards. Like doffing assignments, you can revisit your admiralty assignments several times a day based on your volume of ships available.

Recent changes took the Klingon end reward and converted it to '50,000 Fleet dilithium' which is still worth pursuing for developing fleets. I highly recommend it.

    4.) ~3000 - 8000 Dill / 10-20 minutes: Random Advanced TFO's

This has a highly variable reward based on the time spent, but over time you'll find it the most fun. Yes, there will be times that you will end up playing the low-reward missions, but I find these do balance out with the random rewards which can sometimes be as high as 3500 dilithium! At minimum you will receive marks and elite marks worth dilithium, and a TFO Advanced reward in common to epic varieties with additional marks and dilithium.

What I find for myself is that for some alts, I'll spend more time in random TFO's and end up with enough dilithium to max out my dilithium reward for several days. The more I like the character and build, the longer I'll play.

    5.) ~800 to 25,000 Dil / 5-10 minutes - Events.

Every event has a daily dil reward while working towards the events main goal. It may also provide advancement on the big multi-event prizes. While the daily events are limited to 1 event reward token per account, it can mean that by the end of the event you could be seeing thousands of dilithium per account per day. E.g. As of this article, I'm collecting 10K from Bozeman AND 25K from the Winter event per day. This effectively means I can generate my daily on 2 alts in less than 10 minutes, providing me with enough dil for several days of refinement.

    6.) ~4600+ Dilithium / 25-40 minutes - TFO Ground and Space 'runs'.

These types of runs allows you to use complimentary builds either for ground or space, collecting 1 type of marks and dil. While not as rewarding as random TFO's, you benefit from using min/maxed builds and working with teams who do this exclusively - no random puggers here. Optional's are a requirement, and when you get really good, you can do elites where the elite mark rewards are doubled.

Word of advice - know how each mission works in advance before asking to join. Know the positions, who does what and when. Have the right gear! *cough cough* Back in the day, THIS was the most fun you could have in the game.

Hope this helps some of you.

Jem'Hadar Vanguard Heavy Destroyer with Bozeman Engines, Terran Deflector, Jem'Hadar Shields

Personally, I would've put this in r/stobuilds but it's not a whole build, just a really nice visual synergy. I looks so nice, I just had to share it. :-)

Is there a way to store your password in STO? I am on PC via Steam and I have to enter my password everytime I launch.

Read articles that this existed, but now I cannot find an option.
