    A couple of points I'd like to make:

    1: the devs listened to our suggestions on dil sinks. Kael also played a big part in bringing them player ideas.

    2: they moved quickly. We're going into a holiday weekend and it would have been easy to jut put this off, but they didn't.

    Sure, this should have happened before the exchange actually maxed out, but they can't change that now. What they have done is listen and react quickly, which is a very good thing.

    And now comes the most important part: once this specific fix is done, don't 'forget' about it and let the problem happen again. You have to regularly add new things that people actually want, to keep things under control in the future.

    You did good on this devs, thanks for that. Please keep it up!

    PSA: How to transfer Dilithium between Characters

    Reposting this, since it may help those who need to transfer dil for those sweet, sweet vanity shields and don't know about this:

    How to transfer dil between characters on the same account:

    1. On your character with lots of refined dil, open your the Assets tab of your Inventory and click on Exchange
    2. Make a trade for Zen at an exchange rate that will not be accepted. If you set it to, say, 300:1 or 25:1, then the offer will not be accepted. Set your "Total Dilithium to Sell" to however much you want to transfer, and then Submit the Offer to Buy.
    3. You can repeat steps (1) and (2) for multiple characters.
    4. Then, change characters to whomever you want to receive the dilithium. Go to the same place as in (1) and click Cancel Offer and then Withdraw. Ta-da!

    Should I sell all my Zen?

    I have almost 40,000Z saved up all bought when dil was around 450:1. Should I sell now while it is high?

    There really isn't anything worth buying on the C-Store at the moment. I bought a bunch of 3-ship bundle packs during ship sales a while back but the new stuff isn't on discount.

    Do any vanity shields change bussard collector colors?

    As much as I love some of the newer ships, I'm disappointed by how many of them have bright orange covers on their bussard collectors that do not change color to match the vanity shields they're wearing. The Cardenas and Gagarin are my main disappointments.

    With the new dil sale on vanity shields it got me wondering if any of these non-rep vanities will change that bright orange? I watched a few YouTube videos to see, but no one seemed to use those ships (possibly because the front of the nacelles don't match the rest of the ship).

    How to fix the DilEx: Dilithium Starship Item Prize Pack

    As I'm sure you're aware, the DilEx is currently sold out. In the past, phoenix prize packs were introduced to help make dilithium more desirable. It's time for another prize pack to fix it again.

    I want to see a starship trait prize pack that costs 500,000 Dilithium. At best, that's 1,000 Zen each pack. This pack would randomly drop either a tradable starship trait pack or starship console pack. These packs would give the trait or console from a lobi, lockbox, or promo ship.

    These would be extremely similar to the (now removed) trait packs from the infinity lockbox.

    This is a great solution as it is using existing content so it would be easy to implement. It would make the game far more accessible to new players, as it would make getting ship traits and consoles much easier. There's been insane inflation in ship prices and this idea would help bring them back to reality.

    It's still a random drop, and at at least $10 a spin, it will not greatly depreciate lockboxes or promo boxes. Ships can be delayed being added so the profitable initial release will not be impacted.

    Please share your thoughts on this matter! Do you like this solution, or would you like to see something else?

    Stand on the dance floor. Face the water. Now, turn around and face the building. Did your framerate come to a screeching halt? Mystified because you're running an 11 year-old game through a beefy rig (e.g. Ryzen 5 CPU, NVIDIA GTX 1070 GPU) that normally renders STO smooth as glass on max settings?

    Try turning off Lighting 2.0. It doesn't look awesome, but at least you won't run face-first into a slideshow.

    Just in case anyone unexpectedly runs into this problem, and doesn't want to spend their first day of the Summer Event teching it out.

    NOTE: I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with up-to-date drivers and all that jazz.

    How do you manage a new toon + all the ships you own?

    So on my first few toons, I made sure each of them flew every ship I picked up and got them to mastery.

    But I have accumulated a good number of ships, and on the new toons I created for the recent Delta Recruit event, I lost interest in grinding EVERY ship I own. So instead I actually made a list of all of the ships I own, including consoles, traits, and any unique equipment they may have (wide angle quantum Torp, quad cannons, adv phaser beam arrays, spiral wave, etc.) And I highlighted everything with 2 priorities:

    1. Equipment and consoles that I can grab right away that is useful for leveling a new toon, and also could be useful end game (adv phasers and spirals, etc).
    2. Traits that are must haves. This for me, with the ships I own, includes: Emergency Weapons Cycle, Entwined Tactical Matrices, Calm Before the Storm, Supercharged Weapons, Strike From Shadows, History Will Remember, Improved Gravity Well (Sci), Spore Infused Anomalies (Sci), Checkmate (Sci).

    So instead of grinfing all my ships on every toon, I grab the ships with good equipment and strip them, and I grab the ships that have traits I want and grind them. Then Fly ships that I want that toon to fly based on the build I have decided to go with.

    Doing this though, sometimes has me feeling like I'm not getting full use out of ships Ive paid for. So sometimes I think that I will eventually get bored, and just wanna change up ships. So eventually I will use all ships on all toons. Who knows. As the list of ships grows, it is a daunting task to master them all.

    What about you guys, how do you manage your toons/ships/traits?
