Endeavors Did Not Award XP or a Perk Point Today (After the Patch)

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 08:33 AM PST

I hit rank 450 a few days ago and have been sitting at 18.7k/20k XP since. After today's patch, the endeavors are correctly expanded to include the extra points in each category, but after completing each of the three tasks today, I was awarded the reward boxes but not the XP or the Perk Point I would ordinarily have gotten. Still at 18.7k/20k. The Unforgettable box still can't be opened (not sure if this was intended to be fixed today or not).

We can't contribute Prisoner DOff's to any fleet projects, not even to project that solely require prisoners...

Looks like the devs broke something new, something that wasn't evenremotely in the patch note: we can't contribute Prisoner DOff's to any fleet projects, not even to projects that solely require prisoners like Involuntary Labour Colony...

Edit: First Complement is also still randomly bugged; notice the empty reward, and the missing DOff's...

Endeavour Bug for >= Rank 450?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 08:36 AM PST

Had gotten to 450 a few days ago and if I understood correctly, today's patch supposedly opened ranking up again with a new limit of 600.

However my Endeavor XP counter is stuck at 19000/20000, no increasing after doing the universal and a regular daily one.

    EDIT: spelling

Update: did all 3 daily personal endeavors + 1 universal and the counter's still stuck. I guess whatever they implemented to make the counter stop short of 450 + 20k to avoid people accidentally reaching 451, they simply forgot to change the 450 to 600 now...

Can any of the other players at rank 450 verify having the same issue?

    Quark's Lucky Seven

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 05:48 AM PST

Played this again recently because of the recruitment event, I though I've got a Ferengi Captain in a T5U D'Kora so I thought get the photonic versions of Leck, Quark, Nog, Rom and Leeta, create a Brunt. Put them in Mercenary Attire and go from there.

Trouble is Leck's weapon is an Omega Carbine look but has the phaser sniper rifles primary and secondary fire.

Is there a weapon that looks similar to the carbine with these fire modes?

Now if I want to equip both of them, one for presentation and the other for fire modes then I lose out on Leck's Knives but I suppose I can use the throwing stars or the death spinner uni kits.

The micro torps are easy enough as that's a Temporal Rep Tier 3 project.

Any suggestions for achieving the best mix? It's not meant to top any DPS tables just having a little fun with continuing the theme of possibly the best mission I've ever played in STO?

As Cryptic gets some bad rep for things I'd like to say Kudos on this one loved the way it played out (Still trying to get the accolade because I was stupid enough to get shot by a herald with Leck :-) ) the plot twists were nice the overall way the characters were exactly like you'd expect them to be from DS9 and the fun I had playing. Devs/Artists well done!

Can't donate doffs to fleet projects

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 09:19 AM PST

Like the title says, this appears to have broken with today's patch. In RC, we tested it with solo and normal fleets, and checked permissions at the fleet and armada level. No dice.

Challenger-class - the Wolf 359 kitbash I'd most like to see.

Challenger-class - the Wolf 359 kitbash I'd most like to see.

Yes, this is one of those Wolf 359 ship request threads, so if you hate those classes (despite them being canon), now is probably time to bail out.

I'd like to see the Challenger-class specifically added to the game for a number of reasons:

    1) It's a fairly unique design. A two-nacelle vertical layout is simply distinct - it's not something you see a lot of in-universe, but, at the same time, it doesn't violate any of Roddenberry's nacelle laws (it does violate a Probert one, but I'm inclined to discount those, considering that they were added very late into Trek's lifespan, and appeared to directly contradict a number of on-screen vessels [and about half the Federation ships in this game]).

    2) The Challenger isn't lacking any important starship element, or asking people to suspend belief with regards to its function. Yes, there is no visible deflector dish, but this is a problem shared by something like 1/3rd of the Federation ships in STO. It has a shuttle bay; it has sensor dome; it has impulse engines. Its hull is not mounted in such a fashion that it would be impossible to fit working turbolifts inside. It looks believable.

    https://preview.redd.it/ung6fnqs6mg61.jpg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36a44e3f171e014974ce39f37ab58d953b32d7a3

    3) It was, arguably, one of the better Wolf 359 kitbashes because it didn't merely slam a few sets together in an obvious way. I really like the Niagara-class starship, but it's so, so obvious that you've got a Galaxy-class saucer melded to an Ambassador-class primary hull, with three Galaxy-class nacelles tacked on. In the least, the Challenger class' primary hull - while very simple - seems to be its own unique bird (the Saucer is, of course, from a repurposed Enterprise D kit, but this is true of just about every Wolf 359 bash). Also, the mountings for the nacelles look similarly unique. Overall, about 40 percent of the ship's total volume doesn't appear to be derived from an obvious host - making it a standout amongst the Wolf 359 designs.

    https://preview.redd.it/x2b95qpv6mg61.jpg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eee06010538e01cd47b88803e1526de495d14756

    4) It's a 3370s-era design, and we could use more of them. Just simple as that - for most of us 30 and 40-somethings, TNG was "classic Trek;" we have no working memories of TOS when it was originally aired. TNG was our bridge into this fandom. More ships from this era should always be viewed as a blessing.

    ---

I know that some people within Cryptic have previously expressed incredulity about the Wolf 359 bashes, but considering that several of them are already present in the game, I feel like this is a bit of a strange hill to die on. No, probably not all of them should be added to the game (although there are more than a few that I've gone out of my way to purchase Eaglemoss renditions of because I like them so much), but IMO the Challenger's unique look should make it one of the frontrunners if more are ever designed.

Contributing DOFFs to fleet projects seems to be broken?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 10:03 AM PST

Playing on PC. I have a Fed and KDF fleet I've been building up for the last few years. Logging in after todays patch, I find that I can't contribute any DOFFs to any of my fleet projects. I have...quite a lot. None are bound, they're not holo doffs. Some are off the exchange, some are from doff packs, some are from the fleet DOFF vendor, none can be contributed. Tac, Sci, Eng, common, nothing.

I can contribute dilithium, fleet marks, fleet commodities, expertise, and everything else, but not doffs.
If this doesn't get fixed, My fleet is basically dead in the water.

Is anybody else having this problem?

    Future UI update?

    Posted: 10 Feb 2021 08:41 AM PST

I think it's fair to say the game is showing its age in terms of mechanics, graphics etc (especially on console) and I wondered if they've ever said if there were plans to try modernise some of the assets in game?

Specifically on console the UI looks horrendous on a 4k TV because none of it is high quality and that also goes for items, text and anything near menus.

Does PC have this same issue or are the menus pretty high quality on there?
