Galaxy class material available for New Orleans?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:44 AM PDT

I noticed the Nebula class had quite the overhaul, with it now also using the Galaxy class material (on tribble, that is) and i was wondering if the same thing goes for the New Orleans class. For those of you that happen to own it, do you know anything about that?

Ships that still need a T6 version

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 07:50 PM PDT

So I wanted to see what ships we have in-game that still don't have a T6 version(from whatever source), and decided to make a list of them.

    Lobi

    • Advanced Obelisk Carrier
    • Hirogen Apex Heavy Battlecruiser

    Lockbox

    • APU Cruiser
    • Hirogen Hunter Heavy Escort
    • Kazon Heavy Raider
    • Malon Battlecruiser
    • Nihydron Destroyer
    • Sphere Builder Arehbes Destroyer
    • Tholian Meshweaver Escort

    Phoenix Prize Pack

    • Risian Luxury Cruiser
    • Voth Bulwark Dreadnought Cruiser

    Starfleet

    • Aquarius Light Escort
    • Cheyenne Heavy Cruiser
    • D'Kyr Science Vessel
    • Dyson Science Destroyers
    • Emissary Star Cruiser
    • Hermes Patrol Escort
    • Luna Reconnaissance Science Vessel
    • Malachowski Light Cruiser
    • Nova Science Vessel
    • Oberth Light Science Vessel
    • Olympic Research Science Vessel
    • Pioneer Utility Cruiser
    • Saber Escort
    • Steamrunner Blockade Runner Escort
    • Trident Deep Space Science Vessel

    Romulan

    • Dyson Science Destroyers

    Klingon

    • Dyson Science Destroyers

I will add the caveat that Klingon faction ships are... weird to say the least. Unlike Federation and Romulan ships, where different tier versions of the same ship have interchangeable parts, Klingon faction ships tend to not. This even though most ship designs of the class are obvious upgrades to lower tier ships of the same class, something confirmed several times in the in-game descriptions of these ships.

On one hand it feels weird to not include them for this reason, but on the other hand, if I did I would have to claim that like 90% of Klingon faction ships don't have a T6 version even though they technically do.

Klingon Admiralty - Fleet Dilithium Vouchers - what to do with them if not in a fleet?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:57 AM PDT

Working my way through the Admiralty stuff, will complete all factions since you get an admiralty ship out of them at level 10. However, the reward for the Klingon tour of duty missions is 40,000 "Fleet Dilithium Vouchers." I'm assuming that since fleet is in the title you have to be in a fleet to use them? Since I'm not in a fleet, is there anything I can do with them?

How does the Tholian Anti-Borg doff do in ISA/ISE?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 02:50 AM PDT

Plain and simple +10% cat1 damage boost, how is it compare to others, say, 27 of 47? Is it a must-have when parsing ISE or the won't do much difference? Thanks.

    Smallest Small Craft?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:39 AM PDT

    Hi guys,
I've been wondering what is the very smallest shuttle/small craft available to pilot?
I suspect it could be the Type-10 or the Widow fighter, but I don't know and I'm really curious.
I'd check it out, but getting shuttle queues going is nigh impossible and, even then, getting into one with a wide enough range of craft is tricky.

Furthermore, what is the biggest Small Craft?

    Thanks,

To Hell With Honor Ping (PC)

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 06:18 AM PDT

Now I'll preface this by saying my connection is far from the best and the issue could very well be caused by something on my end, perhaps I or my service provider changed something to cause this. But beyond internet speed tests, which I actually do pretty regularly with no big changes, I would have no idea how to look into something like that. I'm afraid I don't know much about this kind of stuff.

My connection is very far from the best out there. When it's at "its best" my ping hovers from 100 to 250 with occasional spikes to the upper 900s that last a few seconds. However whenever I go into To Hell With Honor my ping is a constant 2500+ and it stays like that until the very last Elachi is defeated, where it then immediately drops back down to the usual numbers. I don't leave the TFO map and it's instantly back to being fine, the last Elachi dying and the TFO completing seems to fix the issue.

The only reason I do not get an AFK penalty and can make progress in the event is because players spawn in close enough to a reactor that I can just barely make it there, with rubberbanding fighting the entire way, and attack turrets and then Elachi when J'ula attacks the area with her Mycelial weapon and can get enough damage in for the game to think I'm actually contributing. But once that reactor is no longer the objective I'm kinda just stuck there doing nothing.

The last time this TFO was ran for an event this problem did not exist for me. Everything worked as fine as it could, I remember my ping being the usual 100-250, and I could actually help take out shipyards and reactors. As I mentioned in the first paragraph I do speed tests pretty regularly and their results have not changed. So I have no idea what's going on.

    Massive difficulty spike?

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:53 PM PDT

Pretty new to the game-last I played was 2012ish

So I started a new captain, been doing missions the last few weeks, and I've gotten to level 65. Now all the enemies seem insanely difficult. I'm currently trying to play the mission revelations and my ship is getting one-shot now when in spawns.

As in my ship barely even finishes the respawn animation and the voth cruiser has already taken it down to 23% hp in one salvo, and in the mission I played before I was fighting a borg cube that drained my shields and kept hitting me for all of my HP in one shot.

Obviously this is getting pretty frustrating. Is there some secret that I'm missing or is this the point in the game they put a wall that you have to pay to get past?

I'm using an advanced escort with pretty much all blue XII phaser canons and things I've been able to acquire through missions so far.

T6 Fleet Atrox vs T6 Aspero Appearance

    Posted: 13 Sep 2020 04:13 PM PDT

T6 Fleet Atrox vs T6 Aspero Appearance

Aspero appearance only available after T6 zen unlock?

I used some fleet modules to acquire what I thought was the fleet version of the aspero, which turned out to be the Atrox in appearance. Obviously I wasn't paying much attention and just figured it would have the option to use the new ship's look.

I prefer the look of the new Aspero, but it appears the fleet version only comes with the appearance of the Atrox.

I assume I'd need to purchase the T6 Aspero to unlock the new ship's appearance. Is that correct, as the screenshot suggests?

I'd previously acquired the new Fleet Jem'Hadar carrier, which has the appearance of the new carrier.
