Missing the point of Star Trek Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:42 PM PDT So online gaming is pretty much seen as not very good. Filled with trolls and griefers and the like. But I'm always saddened when I see people miss the entire point (at least at the start) of the franchise. Setting: ESD. I'm there collecting some reward for some mission. Normally I have the chat box collapsed because I don't chat as it is. This time I don't for some reason. And as I'm rushing around I'm privy to a really disgusting public discussion about how the protesters deserve to be shot. And their actions are making the 'good n——s' look even worse. A show that was built on acceptance is now privy to that in its extended media. I just find that rather sad. As I said I know online gaming isn't filled with the best people and games I like would be no exception to this rule but still. Kinda disgusting. [link] [comments]

Why do I keep doing this? WHY?!?! (in jest) Posted: 09 Jun 2020 09:46 AM PDT This is partially 'serious', but mainly in jest, so please take it that way. That said, I 'mainly' play Fed, and always will. I'm a Starfleet dude, through and through. And as such, I have all the connies (lockbox/promo versions) and the legendary pack. But 'part' of me still likes the 'idea' of playing the other factions. I have a KDF and Rommie alt which I play "every now and then", but then go back to my Fed. But even though I don't play these KDF and Rom alts very much, I still feel 'compelled' to get their ships (at least the ones I want). For the KDF I have the TOS d7, the Kelvin d7, the Disco d7 (and many other ships from the C-store) and for the Rommie I have the promo-TOS BOP, and now I know I will have to get this new 'legendary' BOP from Picard. But the thing is...I hardly play the KDF and Rom...so why do I keep feeling 'compelled' to get these expensive lockbox/promo (or expensive bundle) ships? Why do I keep doing this to myself knowing I won't actually fly them that much?!?! Having said all that, I probably haven't spent as much cash as you might think. I have a pretty elaborate farm set up that earns me enough dil to convert to zen to get pretty much anything I want now without spending my own cash. But still...IDK. I guess my point in posting this is to ask who else feels like this? :p [link] [comments]
infinity prize pack t6 ship recommendations sought Posted: 09 Jun 2020 05:44 AM PDT Federation Tactical. likes cruisers/escort. Would prefer Fed ship but not neccessarily so if another would be more useful. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jun 2020 08:44 AM PDT Quick cosmetic question...what cannon weapons should I be looking at if I want a loud, bombastic sound effect for my cannons? Most have a lighter "tick" sound to them, I'm wanting more of a naval "BOOM" sound. Any suggestions on cannons I should be listening to? [link] [comments]
Revamped autogenerated name list to accompany the Year of Klingon? Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:40 PM PDT The existing Klingon random/autogenerated Klingon ship names are...not super-Klingony. To go with the Year of Klingon, I put together a short list of possible ship names to either add to or (preferably) replace the existing auto-generated names. From an outside view, it seems like it would/should be a relatively straight-forward and quick swap. Nothing is easy when it comes to game design, but a preset list of names is probably up there on simplicity. But I'm not a designer, so I might just be talking out my ass. People: Huragha - Huraga qerla -Kerla qIla - Klaa qimpeQ - K'mpec qang - Kang qo'lotlh - Koloth vIqSIS - Vixis qoreQ - Korax qoD - Korrd lan'etlh - Laneth qIvaDa - K'vada matlh - Maltz mara - Mara lIr'el - L'Rell voq - Voq ten'a'viq - Tenavik 'uj'IllI' - Ujilli DennaS - Dennas 'a'Setbur - Azetbur moratlh - Morath tlhang - Klaang rIqla - Reclaw Words: HoS - strength ngup - power nIv - superior wejpuH - great pIn'a' - master SuvwI' - warrior vay - fight HIv - attack noH - war yoj - judgment bIr nay' - cold dish yuch - ... meQmo' qurgh - baked beans tIr ngogh - bread loSSaD/loSSanID Hugh - four thousand throats wa' ram - one night qet loD - running man tuq MeQ - burning house buQ - threaten bot - prevent/block/prohibit boq - alliance boQ - assist bergh - irritable/be irritable bep - agony beH - rifle bech - suffer pagh jey - no defeat pagh HeD - no retreat pagh jegh - no surrender pIn - boss/expert/authority yIHoH - to kill Hegh - death veS cha'par - war bird ghob - battle noH - war pIn'a' - master nIv - superior/best There's also cities and locations/"data points" to pull from, as well as planets as well as the Mandel/Nemecek maps to pull from (Star Charts, Stellar Cartography, etc.) for Klingon Empire star names. As well as your Star Trek: Legacy#Enterprise_era_2) names list. I'm not an expert in transliteration, and there are a lot of them, and I'm sure Cryptic has access to Klingon experts, so I'll defer to them instead of listing all of them. Thoughts? Episode Ship Sets Worth Grinding Posted: 08 Jun 2020 10:01 PM PDT So I hit 65, finished the story, and have a T6 ship (Risian Corvette). I've seen quite a few sets throughout the episodes, and I was wondering if there are any that would be worth going and getting. I know reputation is what most people recommend, but that's slow going (for some reason), and I find it hard to believe there is no "worth the grind" sets available in the episodes (25th century Starfleet). Specifically, I'm looking to either boost survivability or Antiproton Beam Damage. Not too concerned about speed, though I don't want to reduce it. My ship is quite the maneuverable little bugger and fly's in circles around most of my targets. I've already learned from a fellow Redditor that it's best to pick 1 energy type, to get stronger consol boosts. I choose antiproton because it's the perfect balance between cool color/sounds and actual damage output. Also because I got my hands on a Herald Antiproton Beam Array MK XV [Ac/Dm] [CtrD]x4, which I'm told is once of the best beams available. TL;DR: Looking for an episode ship set that is worth grinding, that boosts antiproton energy if it has weapon buffs. Thanks guys! P.S. if there are rep or space traits that also fit this description feel free to mention! [link] [comments]
Manasa Assault Escort Questions Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:44 PM PDT Does anyone fly these still? I really like the aesthetic of the ship and want to pick one up. How does it compare to the Valiant Tactical Escort? Also I'm not a fan of the color scheme on it, so are there options to change that? What vanity shields look good on it vs what ones don't? (for example, the S31 shield has a bad habit of making some ships look as if they're not fully rendered with a "flat" texture) Lastly, what's the best way to get one? I have about 20 Vaadwaur lockboxes in my bank, but I have no idea what the drop rate is (plus I really don't like the idea of opening them for a ship anyway). As for the exchange, I'm not sure what price is fair for one and how often they're sold. I do have roughly 500m EC, so I definitely need to relearn how to make money on the exchange. Thanks in advance for any help! Edit for clarity: I tend to avoid lockboxes usually, only occasionally open them for Lobi. [link] [comments]
Need help with Delta Quadrant arc completion, The Kobali Front Posted: 08 Jun 2020 07:48 PM PDT So I am trying to do all story arcs on my old temporal recruit. I gotten to all the way to the Delta Quadrant arc. When I open the journal tab everything says "replay" or is blanked out, which I take to mean completed, including the patrols. But the game is saying I haven't completed it. So I looked through everything and I did have some mission hanging under "in progress" from Kobali. I meet up with the general in the main city, where it says, if you beat a mission, it will show up as a replay mission the console outside the building. Checking that console it says Act I and Act II. I assume I then already beat those 2, right? Then I start up Act 3, and I get the mission "Breaking the wall", which the wiki says is supposed to be an open mission found on the map named "break the wall, and is found in the upper mountain. But, on the map I only got 2 red circles indicating open missions, and neither fit any of the missions found in Act 3. I also got no waypoint or anything in mission description telling me what to do. Hoping there is some expert out there on Kobali, or someone who ran though the arc recently that can help. All I can think is I haven't done all of Act I and Act II? [link] [comments]
Need help with finding Scimitar Cannons Posted: 08 Jun 2020 02:51 PM PDT Hi all, Recently got a T6 Khopesh, trying to replicate the look of the movie scimitar, but I'm having trouble finding right colored cannons. I've tried Altamid, Disruptor, but nothing really fits the look. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]

A thought on the exclusive Romulan content coming soon. Posted: 08 Jun 2020 05:43 PM PDT I was poking through my old posts and saw this. Could the special Romulan-exclusive item be the Tal Shiar infiltration suits from PIC, as a companion to the Legendary T'Liss? [link] [comments]
