Posted: 01 Feb 2020 09:03 AM PST Hopefully the mods will indulge this repost since this is the weekend and there may be folks who did not see the post I made a few days ago...
Ok, it's that time again! I would like to "share" my ships with others who may not have a chance to get one, so I copied a ton of unopened ship packs to tribble before opening mine.
If anyone would like to have a Borg Juggernaut on TRIBBLE send an in game mail to captain@the.grand.nagus on TRIBBLE (not live) and I will mail you back a ship.
A few important notes:
1) to be clear, "TRIBBLE" is the PC test server. So unfortunately I am only able to offer these ships to PC players.
2) please limit 1 pack per person so as many people as possible can enjoy the ships.
3) please note I am only sending out ships in replies to the mails I receive on TRIBBLE. Posting your in game handle in this thread or in a PM will not result in a ship being sent to you.
4) to prevent my inbox from getting full, please do not reply back after I send you the ship. I know folks just want to say "thanks", but it's my pleasure and I hope you enjoy!
Lastly, if you decide you actually want one of these ships please take my advice and buy it on the exchange where you actually have a 100% chance to get it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY GAMBLING!
If you need EC then simply buy zen, use that zen to buy master keys(promo packs are actually better, but they aren't available at the moment), sell those master keys on the exchange for EC, then use that EC to buy the ship you want.
At the moment, it works out like this:
Ship price = 750mil (as of this post). Keys are selling for 5.8mil(as of this post). 750/5.8 = 129. That means you would need to sell 129 keys for 5.8mil each to get the 750mil EC you need. You can currently get 20 keys for 1912 zen, so 129/20 = 6.45, and 6.45 x 1912 = 12,332 (the amount of zen you would need to buy), which equates to $123.
Don't misunderstand; I'm not saying anyone should go spend $123 on a video game (if you don't want to). But far too many people spend much MORE than that by gambling and opening packs only to not actually get the ship they want. Remember, you have a 100% chance to get the ship on the exchange!
Ok, that's all about that =P

Just a random question about what choices you made in the Featured Episodes Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:32 AM PST For The Battle of Brea III, which I feel was actually the most emotional/toughest choice among all the trials, I chose to save Obisek. A little biased because he's my all time favourite STO original character (and voice!) and it put a big smile on my face seeing Hakeev vs Obisek getting more love and screentime they deserved so it's heartbreaking to see Obisek die but luckily it's only a simulation. In the Annorax, I chose to save Noye, or more like I chose to save the ship rather than Noye. I'm glad they got James Horan to voice him since I love Enterprise a lot! Then I chose Seven to sting the other Burnham although she dies in the end. Just randomly curious to see what you all chose and I truly loved these episodes. On the downside I wished there was less ground battles (I kept dying...) and more space battles (the final space fight felt so short even though it was the best!). Happy 10th Anniversary STO! Is $200-300 a good deal for 10 ships? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:43 AM PST Obviously an unpopular opinion here, but I was disappointed when I saw the prices they put out for these packs. Less than a month ago, I sold my last key on the exchange as I had passed the 1.25 billion EC mark of saving, Dil to Zen exchanging, then reselling keys and promo boxes. All that grinding, and I had enough to get my TOS character either a true Connie or the OP Donnie. I spent a solid week deliberating, reading the wiki pages, looking at opinions, reviews and builds and went for the Donnie. Granted, I am a Lifer so I had a gentle stipend helping this venture out as well, but when I look back on it, I probably ended up spending 15k to 20k of Zen to get enough EC on the market to buy a single character unlock. A month later, for that same 20k Zen, I could have gotten 10 account unlocks. So, I'm pretty bummed. I made the mistake of buying the multiple Odyssey (both T5 and T6) packs years ago. I saved up and got the Lonnie years ago. And now, in a month's time, my latest purchase has been proven less than valuable. If I had known year 10 would bring all this, I bet the cost of those packs and grinding for those two ships would have easily gotten my the Legendary pack from a Zen perspective. All this said, I love the work that's been put in over the years. This anniversary has truly felt like a love letter, and if I was fresh and new without having spent a dime in this game, I would tell every single new player that getting these ten ships for $200 may seem steep, but that's really an incredible deal. For those of us who either are whales, who trickled in a few bucks here or there, or who used to be here when subscriptions were still a thing, I wish there were more value for us is all. I think a lot of us have the Galaxy, Sovereign, Intrepid and Defiant, perhaps many of us at fleet levels. A lot will have all the Ody's as well. At the Lobi price, the NX isn't too hard to attain, so really it may just be the a few ships left we want, with a really high price tag. In the past, Cryptic has added ships we didn't expect later, or include pack extras of some kind. My only recommendation would be if you purchased either pack, if you have the 1000-day veteran rewards unlocked on your account, maybe sweeten the deal. Unlock all lockbox ships to account. Maybe allow a account-wide drydock. Give these people a free Lobi, Lockbox and Promo ship choice for the account? If we are growing as a player base with new players, the pack would then encourage the new players to get either 1000 days in-game, or would possibly encourage Lifetime Subscriptions, who knows. Either way, good luck Cryptic, thanks for the memories, and here's to another 10. [link] [comments]

"For right now" Bundle ships cannot be bought individually. They "may" have plans in the future. Posted: 31 Jan 2020 12:01 PM PST Here is the full/exact quote from Kael from today's livestream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/544728655?t=01h01m12s Please don't kill me, just sharing what was said =P [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Jan 2020 11:40 PM PST I've been gone from the game for awhile and just updated it so I could play some more. However, when I get into the game, it chugs along like I'm playing it on an ancient computer. Constant frame skips, hitching, dropouts. I've tested latency and I know it's not related to that, but I have no idea what would be causing this. I played it some last year on the exact same PC without all the problems. For reference:
All of my other games are running just fine, so I don't get what's going on here. Anybody have any ideas? Are there any known issues floating around right now? [link] [comments]

Please for the love of all things good... Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:23 AM PST Let me disable the new obnoxious way point and mission icons . I play with a very minimal hud, and the new missions are really nice but i fucking hate the new way point icons I don't need them, I'm not a moron , I can see on the map where things are. Please let me disable it [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 09:29 AM PST Anyone else missing the new Winter Event BOFF abilities in their BOFF ability menus if they trained any of them? For me, if the ability was already selected, it's still usable, but it's no longer in the ability menu, and none of the other BOFFs that I've trained with the abilities have them on any other toon, either. Is this a known issue? [link] [comments]
PS4 - anyone else having errors when trying to start/continue missions on console/PS4? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 05:34 AM PST The past few days I've been experiencing my PS4 error out when trying to warp-to and continue missions. I can exit out, but if I try to go immediately back in I get the same error. If I select a different character I can enter just fine. But then if I exit out and go back and select my primary, and select a main mission, once I get to the point of "continue mission" it errors again. But if I go off and do something else I'm just fine. WTF? I'd like to actually continue a mission! [link] [comments]

Missing Zen after 5 year absence Posted: 01 Feb 2020 09:01 AM PST I came back after 5 years to see whats changed, however on coming back along with a few relatively minor stuff having changed with my characters (skills missing, minor items missing etc) I've noticed that my Zen is 0, when I left the game I am pretty sure I had a few thousand, still have a lot of refined dilithium, and looking at exchange history I should have a fairly large amount of Zen (last transaction is getting 250 zen from dilithium exchange so I should have at least 250?) Is there anyway to check what happened here, again I have been gone for 5 years so not sure if there was some change that wiped it or something, is there any other way to check if its been exchanged or something outside the exchange? (other thing that occurs to me is that this is a new computer since then, and I had to verify PC before I could log in...not sure if there is a timer before Zen is viable to prevent hacks or something?) or is my best course of action to find out what happened, to send a support ticket? Any help/ advise appreciated, thanks in advance *Thanks for advice, will contact GM see if they can fix* [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:42 AM PST Another discussion in one of the many topics about the Legendary bundle brought this to mind. My theory is that most are interested in the bundle ships being released individually are mostly wanting them for the skins, and the other party disagreed, so I genuinely want to know if I'm wrong here. Let's say Cryptic put whatever they're gonna call the Legendary TOS Connie in the C-store, on it's own, for 3k zen, but it's skin would instead look like the USS Stargazer (or pick any other ship that isn't iconic) would that be satisfactory to many people here? Actually I'll add a part B to this question. So A: Would you be satified with the ships being available without their iconic skins? B: Would you be willing to pay 3k zen or so JUST for the skin of any iconic ship you want? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:30 AM PST https://sto.gamepedia.com/Trait:_Dominion_Coordination Just a quick question about this trait. When it says, " This buff does not stack. " Does that just mean it doesn't stack with itself? Or it doesn't stack with any other damage bonuses? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Feb 2020 07:49 AM PST I unlocked the ship as part of it's event. I am trying to reclaim the warp core but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone knows where they put it? [link] [comments]

The tenth anniversary bundle will not be sold individually Posted: 01 Feb 2020 06:42 AM PST It has come to light that the tenth anniversary bundle will not be sold individually. I am not happy or pleased about this like most people I cannot afford 200-450 dollars for this bundle. I am severely dissatisfied and disappointed in cryptic handling of this and the short sighted decision that was made. I can understand a lot of things charging for tier 6 ships costumes but putting ten ships behind such a massive pay wall is unfair and blatant attempt to make us pay more then we already have. This is the 10th anniversary of Star Trek online this should be about the players a celebration of the players who already give you there time and money not another excuse to hide another bunch of ships behind a paywall not everyone can afford.
