As a Fed player, the Alliance Battlecruiser with Section 31 Vanity Shields is the closest I will get to commanding a StarCraft II Terran Battlecruiser

I'd really like to see some ground patrols...

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 02:14 AM PST

I may be in the minority, but I mostly play STO as a single player game. I'm doing fine with TFOs, but I just don't like to wait for the queue to start, or finding other people who want to play at the moment.

The addition of Patrols is one of the best features that has been added to the game recently. It really is. Great way to play a short session, blow stuff up, get some rewards and be done with it, with no waiting for the queue or artificial timer and no need to travel anywhere.

That said, I'm also one of those few people who do actually like the ground combat in STO. A well geared character with interesting kits can be fun, especially with Boffs. Sadly, the ground TFOs are unpopular, ground BZ often require time. Yet there are times I'd like to play a quick ground battle and I think ground patrols would satsify this need.

There are many great ground maps in the game. There are also some neat ideas for ground content in TFOs. So why not add several ground patrol missions that are based on some of the existing missions. For example, Bajor with Undine Infiltration? Or something in the Mycelial Realm? Anything, even if it all comes down to "defeat X groups of enemies". Adding a random element would be great too, with random enemies similar to some of the new space patrols. Certain ground patrols could also work nicely as a tutorial for some of the more difficult ground TFOs.

Not to mention, it would work great with some Personal Endeavors.

I don't expect many people to want more ground content, but I wanted to just put the idea out there. If anything, I'll stress again that the idea of Patrols is great and I hope Cryptic will keep adding more of them in the future.

They Legendary Pack Should've Included The Galaxy/Intrepid/Defiant Bridges.

Given how interiors for ships aren't really that useful, it would've been nice of them to have thrown them in the pack for the price.

    Captains Table Suggestion

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 09:32 AM PST

I just visited the Captain's Table today for the first time in many years. I'd forgotten how beautiful it is. I know the devs will probably never do anything with it but I do have a simple suggestion. Give lifetime subscribers the ability to warp there anytime they wish.

Currently, it's a bit of a pain to get there. If I could warp in with the click of a button, I'd visit much more often to use the exchange, mail and bank.

I took a picture of all the T6 Reputation Vanity Shields on the new Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 03:53 AM PST

I got some of them mixed up because they look so similar. I may be wrong on a couple. But the really obvious ones are easy to tell.

All these screen shots were taken at Earth Space Dock.

I re-ran Measure of Morality pt. 2 tonight to parse what attacks and weapons the hero ships used. If the results are accurate, nothing too exciting, but could be interesting for those who like to see stats. (A clearer imgur album is in the links)

    Legacy Galaxy Saucer Sep Bug

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:23 AM PST

On the legendary the saucer separates for a few seconds then just pops back on. I've tried using it several times to see if it's just acting funny but nope. Haven't seen if the normal galaxy is messed up too or it's just on the legendary.

Monthly Reminder to return Spectres & Cold War Story arcs back into the Episodes tab.

Having the most amazing missions in the game hidden from plain sight in the mess that is the quest journal is just a massive slap to the best missions in the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq4dyIbP6NQ What Lies Beneath was the ONLY thing when I first played the game that got me completely hooked and made me play it since then, I firmly believe without this mission I would not have played the game longer than a few hours.

Please move it back into the Episodes tab, somewhere on it's own so people realise it isn't part of the continuing storyline, just make these missions easier to find!

They are just incredible missions! The new, new player experience is terrible with the new episodes, there was a part if you choose to play as a disco officer in the first mission a 10 minute fight against 3 or 4 ships, it was one of the most boring things I have ever encountered on a brand new character. Bring back the ability to easily play through the spectres storyline from the beginning, because these stories will still hook new players to the game.

Okay,so my Legendary Crossfield is faster than my Vesta?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 06:10 AM PST

I can't figure this one out. My Legendary Crossfield is running transwarp 78 on slipstream with the legendary voyager trait and VR gamma core/engines. My palatine however, with epic MACO engines and gamma warp core, with the 2pc console bonus from t5 vestas only runs about warp 66ish. Both have 3 points in impulse expertise and the voyager trait active.

-Edit NEVER MIND - the game deleted my entire trait setup. Why does the game do this? Anyone have a clue?Anyway, vesta runs at TW 103.55 without temporary bonuses like diplomatic immunity (and without lead foot). Pretty good.

    T6 Science ship

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 08:58 AM PST

I'm thinking about picking up a T6 science ship (I already have the light cruiser which is a lot of fun), but I'm not entirely sure which one would be a good idea.

I'm mainly torn between the Pathfinder and Sutherland (I really like both Intrepid and Nebula designs). Pathfinder looks like it might be better for solo play with the aeroshuttle but Sutherland would be a really neat force multiplier in TFOs.

Can the old style Iconian ship be found anywhere in game, if so where.

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 08:07 AM PST

I know that the missions it was involved with either are gone or it was replaced. I just wanted to know if it existed in a patrol or something

    Refit Connie Registration Font

    Posted: 15 Feb 2020 09:09 PM PST

It's a minor nitpick, but one thing that is a little disappointing with the Refit Connie pieces is that they all use the Refit font, with no option for the 1701-A font that has the white and red outline around all its characters.

It would be nice to see that as an option in the ship tailor, and maybe spread it out to all ships. The ability to choose what specific font from each series for your ship name and registry number.

    Breen Uniform Guide

    Posted: 15 Feb 2020 02:51 PM PST

The Breen adaption suit is worn by personnel of the Breen confederacy and Breen militia. The following is what I found online about their ranks, and color. None of this is set in stone it's just what I've noticed or read.

H'ren The H'ren are ensigns. They wear helmets with the flat circular plate on top. Bright green visor and a beige suit.

    H'ren

H'ren Medics These have Cyan visors, armored module on back of helmet w/tubes to shoulder pads. The suit is white and shoulder pads pointy.

    H'ren Medic

H'ren Sentry Their uniform is identical to basic H'ren soldiers, featuring a glowing green visor and a basic, beige refrigeration suit. While only armed with a feeble pistol as primary weapon, the Sentry's true strength lies in his ability to create Cryonic Mortars

    Sentry

H'ren Bio-engineer This Breen wears the common uniform, featuring a glowing blue visor and a basic, whitish refrigeration suit. Additionally, a bulky collar around the neck and the pointy shoulder pads.

    Bio-engineer

Ak'ched These Breen are similar to Lieutenant Junior Grade. They are distinguished by their bulky, armored dark brown suits with chest gear belt and greenish blue/cyan visors, as well as a tall metal semicircular crest on their helmets. These helmets also have the double barreled about. Added machinery for heavy weapons on their right arm.

    Ak'ched

Vel'sh Scientist They appear simillar to Ak'cheds in build, but have a purple visor and lack the Ak'ched's distinctive head crest.

    Vel'sh Scientist

Vel'sh Tactician They appear simillar to Ak'cheds in build, but have a white visor and lack the Ak'ched's distinctive head crest.

    Vel'sh Tactician

Thot Thot is currently the highest known rank found in the Breen military, and is roughly equivalent to an Admiral or Captain. They are similar to Ak'cheds in appearance, but are taller, bulkier and come equipped with specialized breathing apparatus' and large bulky backpacks. The helmets possess an orange or red visor. The snout of their helmets are armored as well as their necks and shoulders. There is a cranial bulge on the helmets with heavy machinery on the snout.

Can’t get In to Star Trek Online

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:26 AM PST

Every time I attempt to launch STO I get to the "Press A on any controller" screen followed by 1 minute of "waiting for account server response" before I it times out and sends me to the previous screen stating "disconnected from account server".

I'm getting desperate no response on my arc games support ticket and I can't find any one else with this specific issue.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

    Stuck on Temporal Reckoning

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 07:02 AM PST

I'm replaying this mission and have got to the 'The Die is Cast Stage' where you have to defeat the Terran forces. All of the generic ships are gone so I should just have to defeat the ISS Enterprise to move on but it's just flying in a huge circle so fast I can't keep up with it during combat. Is there anything I can do to solve this without resetting the mission?
