If the new mission was supposed to be a love letter... Posted: 29 Jan 2020 01:49 AM PST I believe it. Thank you for all your hard work these 10 years, and I hope to enjoy many more. As for the mission itself, I had to replay the mission with my Galaxy-X just to get this screenshot. The gang's all here. [link] [comments]
[QoL Request] Please inactivate Phoenix Store Items if they're unlocked already account wide. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 09:01 AM PST Hi, is there a way to grey out items from the Phoenix Prize Redemption if they're actually unlocked in the former event store? This happens for admirality cards and duty officers as you cannot reclaim "once per character" items, but not for gear like the Sompek items that you can reclaim indefinitely through the event store. I haven't bought former event items or ships from Mudd's Store, but if I may guess, getting the items from the C-Store doesn't block items from the Phoenix store, either? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2020 03:24 AM PST These two missions was awesome, not mindblowing but damn good ones. As most of you noticed we got some Haakev love AND Obisek love. Sadly most characters get killed (I think Haakev was one villan that derserved to be alive) But Obisek is also one of those characters that needs more love :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:23 AM PST I was really excited to play it and to get that gun since it looked like it is actually worth it but since best mission reward is removed now I dont really see a point in running it now [link] [comments]

So, let's talk about To Hell With Honor and general strategies: Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:56 AM PST To Hell With Honor, aka: It's time to get our Ace Combat on. Quite frankly the most fun I've had in this game since I broke time and space in response to a certain individual's rather horrifying upgrade. However, some people seem to be having problems with it, so I thought I would lay out the two major strategies I see for dealing with it: The first is to go full space whale, lay on the beam arrays, and fire up FaW 3. Turn yourself into a majestic floating realm of death. There are sufficient targets to justify stepping down the general quotient of firepower for the area of effect controls. Additionally, many consoles, especially ones from T1-4 vessels, are going to be massively useful here. Antimatter spread to spread confusion, the impulse burst for massive speed, etc. There are relatively few hard targets that require maximum point deeps. You're looking to spread the love over quite a few unwilling 'friends'. Go full ham here. The Khitomer's clicky is tailor-made for exactly the purpose, as well. The Wagner playing is entirely appropriate here. So long as you keep moving, keep out of the way of the reactors going off, and don't park yourself over one of the disruptor installations, you are generally an invincible god next to the enemy. Be that awesome, hammy mad-captain you've always wanted to be. The second approach is to be the team hardpoint killer. For this, I would recommend... well, a pilot ship of some description. You're going to need to be flying nape of the earth on this mission to avoid being swatted by the various fixed ground defenses. You're not there to become one of the gods of ham flying around the skies and dispensing death to everyone you see. You're there to make runs on critical targets, such as the reactors, their shield generators, and the various rebel heavy cruisers and battleships to take care of the heavy things while the death whales above have fun. You are, as I said earlier, playing Ace Combat instead of Flying Fortress. Get in, make your runs at max throttle, and don't get involved in the scrums. In both instances, however, I cannot highly enough recommend the: https://sto.gamepedia.com/Ability:_Point_Defense_System Or one of it's factional equivalents. Why? Because the majority of the enemies in this TFO are frigates, or frigate-analogues such as the walkers. Hence why I also recommend a space whale for this mission. The PDS (or the Einstine's heavy weapon analogue) allows you to swat frigates for triple normal damage per shot, and it fires at at least 10 targets for ten seconds. It also is modified by your total damage modifiers, making it even more potent on top of it's triple damage to frigates. So have fun, go mad, and burn it all. [link] [comments] |
