    Now that Phoenix boxes are permanent, are the Omega shards worth the time?

    I usually run into a lot of mouse/game latency issues when trying to play the Omega mini game and rarely score over 1500. Currently I can buy 20 phoenix boxes every week without really impacting my dil reserves. So I was wondering if playing this mini game (outside of the daily of course) worth it for the upgrades? Even with the added Omega upgrades it seems like I could make better use of my time. Being a casual player, I may be completely wrong. What are your thoughts?

    To Hell With Honor TFO

    A lot has been said about how good the new missions are (rightfully), but I've seen little to no mention of the new TFO.

    Love it, the best TFO in recent years. It's a load of fun and no timegate to be seen.

    Couple of thoughts in bulletpoint form because I'm lazy:-

    • I love actually having to move. One of the things with a lot of timegate missions is your ship can spend a lot of time sitting in one place. Great for stacking Anchored, but not fun.
    • The map actually forces you to choose between using single target and AOE abilities, for a tac anyway. AOE is great vs the shipyards and elachi mobs (especially for causing secondary explosions), but not so great vs the Lukara, reactors and the giant Elachi Walker. Especially when the advanced and elite version goes live.
    • Even on normal difficulty the heavy disruptor cannons do a lot of damage (to a DPS glass cannon), so it'll be fun to see what they're like on advanced. And I do mean fun. Please, don't change them.
    • Are the Elachi supposed to fire on the reactor shield generators? I might have missed a line of dialogue.
    • I've noticed a few players just shoot at the Lukara during the first section. I'm guessing it's just their attempt at trying not to do much, but not get an AFK ban.
    • Love the reactor explosions. I'm guessing they'll do a lot more damage on advanced, since they seem to barely scratch me (and I'm not remotely tanky). In fact it seems to do less damage than generic mob weapon fire.
    • Ran into a bug where a reactor location would repeatedly spawn elachi and not complete for like 2 minutes. This was followed by the next location not completing when we killed all the elachi. Not sure what caused it. I think we might have had some high DPSers who could have killed the reactor before the Lukara used the spores at that location.

    Overall, loved it.

    Well, we didn't get a Commodore title option because we were told the rank was replaced with Rear Admiral Lower Half after TOS era to be more realistic.

    Episode 2 of Picard has a Commodore in 2399.

    Endeavors and Dilithium Sink: A thought

    Dilithium was originally called a "time currency" by devs.

    Endeavor points are designed to take time.

    The Dilithium market has been less than stable for awhile due to a lack of Dilithium sinks.

    What if they allowed large quantities of Dilithium to buy Endeavor progress? Or for that matter, Skillpoints?

    The only tweak I can think of is to — without reducing returns for the average, low end player — reduce dil rewards from admiralty and increase Endeavor box Dilithium and the reward for random TFOs. Such that the average player with 1-2 alts would see perhaps an increase in rewards for active play but passive income would be cut back for folks like me who have alt farms. I don't think being able to pull 24,000 a day is unreasonable if you have 3-4 alts at endgame but pulling 100k a day on 20 alts is disruptive, even though I've certainly enjoyed benefiting from it on occasion.
