    Are spiral wave weapons still worthwhile?

    I play dual beam banks Beam overload on 5/2, 5/3 ships and I had considered buying a cardassian ship for the beams as most people seems to consider it the best compared to everything else. My dilemma is that as there's no spiral omnis, all the 3 rear slots are taken up by non spiral weapons while the front 3 weapons taken up by rep disruptors and the torpedo, leaving only 2 slots for spiral wave disruptor. Somehow, i doubt I would see any significant boost in dps. Does anyone have a rough % increase per beam comparing spiral wave to vanilla?

    I'll eventually go down the cannon scatter volley route, and focus a bit on that. Thought I'd find out if it's still worthwhile throwing upgrades at it to make it epic or if it's a waste of time and resource. I epicced some Zhat Vash dual heavies earlier and hastely put together a cannon set to play around but didn't notice it doing much more than my other BO builds (since I'm still new at cannon play). Now I'm not sure if spiral wave dual heavies will make a noticeable difference on the current ship.
