PSA: there is a testing terminal on Tribble that gives infinite dilithium (to buy Vanity shields) Posted: 02 Jul 2021 02:23 PM PDT If you play on PC and have access to Tribble and would like to test the Vanity shields before buying, there is a testing terminal at Drozana station that gives unlimited dilithium: https://i.imgur.com/b4xZXbS.jpg It is near where the Ferengi stands that gives out the Phoenix boxes, against the wall. The vanity shields are also in the Dil store on Tribble. Also: if you are interested in testing out the appearance of the Summer/baseball vanity shields you can copy over a character from live multiple times to build up the number of favors you need until you have enough to buy the shields. New Risa Performance Issues? Posted: 02 Jul 2021 09:02 AM PDT I've noticed that Risa seemingly has performance issues now. Being in or even looking in the direction of the hotel tanks the framerate. I mean single-digit numbers where normally I run it at 40-60 FPS depending on number of people onscreen. It wasn't like this the last time I was there (couple months ago.) I can be on the opposite end of the island and the framerate is fine, but as soon as I look towards the hotel (which is hidden behind all the terrain), it plummets like crazy. Additionally, when flying I notice individual random terrain and ocean panels glitching and "popping", like a texture square switches to something garbled for a split-second, before correcting itself. The Tzenkethi Posted: 02 Jul 2021 12:16 PM PDT I was watching Certfiably Ingame's video on the Tzenkethi, and it came to my mind about how cool it would be to actually be able to play them in STO. Seeing as how they are big and bulky, they could be a species that is geared more towards taking, or just making ships tougher to kill. Kind of like how the Romulans are more geared towards damage. It would be entirely possible too, since we already have a ships style, and you can play as them in a mission. I know it probably won't happen, but it would be a really cool idea.
