Cannons should have emitter visuals Posted: 07 May 2021 08:04 AM PDT It has always irked me that dual and dual heavy cannons have balls of energy but the linked emitter arrays have bolts. My favorite is the sensor linked disruptor array visual and sound. It would be perfect on a bird of prey but instead I get puffballs and a completely different sound. I keep thinking about putting dual beam arrays on it but haven't yet. Just my opinion. [link] [comments]

Noye, Tuterians and Federation Posted: 07 May 2021 09:31 AM PDT A dumb question here, but what exactly did Federation do to the Tuterians, who I guess are the sphere builders, that Noye and even they feel was so wrong. Like as far as ik, they tried to expand into the quadrant with Xindi as the servitor species, they tried to kill humans and struck SF apparently, so why is Noye convinced Feds were wrong, like I get his wife was a Sphere Builder but idk can someone clarify? Posted: 07 May 2021 08:59 AM PDT Since the latest patch I've noticed TFOs that used to be taxing to my rig but definitely playable now no longer go past 4-5 FPS. My rig is a dinosaur but has been able to run the game at medium graphical settings no problem until a few nights ago. Was wondering if anyone else was noticing the same or if there was any advice, lowering my setting to a blurry mosh doesnt help at all. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 08:46 PM PDT So, back when Beam Overload was getting revamped and we had all those bug reports about beam visuals being wrong, Lethean Disruptors slipped through the cracks entirely. When under the effect of Beam Overload all variants of them become Federation Phaser Orange, and use the Federation Phaser sound as well. Also going to throw in that the Ba'ul Omni-Beam is still firing visually and audially as a Delphic Antiproton Beam when under the effect of Beam Overload as well. [link] [comments]
My first Ultra Rare Phoenix Prize Posted: 07 May 2021 07:38 AM PDT So, I lucked out and got an Ultra Rare Phoenix Prize and want to know what I should unlock. I don't' really play any t-5 ships so I'm not sure which is best for me to get. Any suggestions? Edit: looks like the best for me atm is to wait for the Experimental Tokens. Sounds good to me. I just didn't want to miss out on something I wasn't aware of. Thank you! [link] [comments]

A question about fleet ship modules Posted: 07 May 2021 10:21 AM PDT On average, how long does it take to get 5 modules? I can't afford to buy them off the exchange (really struggling to make EC) and I'm not sure I want to commit to buying a lot of zen while I'm still new. So it's reputation grind....are we talking weeks? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 08:19 PM PDT To explain: there is a lot of content in this game that I find enjoyable to play, but isn't very rewarding in terms of... actual rewards. For example, it's kind of fun to me to do the various fleet holding dailies every now and then, but the rewards for doing the missions are pretty worthless (to me).
As a completely unrelated issue: I also have a ton of alts for dil farming that used to earn me around $20 each week in dil to zen, but I've kind of burned out on doing a ton of alting every day. It feels too much like 'work' and isnt' exactly fun.
My solution is a combining the missions I want to play and then doing an alt as the "reward". For example, play a mission I want to play (like the starbase daily), then afterwards log in an alt, collect the contraband and admiralty rewards from the day before (sometimes up to 5,000 dilithium due to +50% dil bonus from admiralty) and load up new ones.
So in my mind I view that 5,000 dilithium as the 'reward' for doing the starbase daily. Then do some other mission I actually want to play (maybe an episode, or whatever) and do another alt. This way I get to play the game the way I want to play it, but still get rewarded handsomely.
Another way to do something similar that doesn't involve having a tons of alts is using the thousands of rep marks you probably have banked. Do a mission you actually like (but has middling rewards), then 'cash out' one of the 1 or 24hour rep missions that rewards dilithium. Then you can view the dilithium as the reward for the the mission.
I'm just curious if anyone else has resorted to this kind of craziness to enjoy the game? :p [link] [comments]
Request: Full Miracle Worker Jem'Hadar Starship Posted: 06 May 2021 09:58 PM PDT Every major faction in the game except the Dominion (FED, KDF, ROM, AOY, DSC) has at least one full Miracle Worker ship. Many smaller factions do, too (Tzenkethi, Vaadwaur, Tholian, Ferengi, and Maquis). What gives? [link] [comments]

A really useful "Filter" feature to add... Posted: 06 May 2021 12:43 PM PDT One thing that bugs me, when running through my Alts — especially now that Cross-Faction Flying is a thing — is that there is no way to filter Ships in the Ship Requisition, the C-Store, or the Event Ship Reclaim by "Trait Not Obtained". Even just an icon on the ship indicating "You have all traits from this ship" would be useful! If you're going to make us grind it out on a character–by–character basis, rather than making them account–unlocks, couldn't you at least make it easier to work out which we still need to do... Best way to farm dilithium on alt characters? Posted: 07 May 2021 07:21 AM PDT I'm ever so slowly getting into the deep end of the game and I now have 4 characters with the story missions and mission replays all done. Although I only really use one. But even that only earns around about 80 to 100 thousand dil which is gone like 3 or 4 days after you finish everything. So I'm wondering if theres a method SPECIFIC TO ALTs to easily and quickly earn a days worth of ore to refine and move on to the next one. Thanks in advance for the help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 01:06 PM PDT I am a starwars fan but I remember watching some star trek as a kid. What is this game like? Is it open world? What do you do in it? How much of it is story and how much is just doing what you want? I don't care about story that much. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 May 2021 08:19 PM PDT With the "Year of the Klingon" do you think we could have the ability restored to earn the Vigilance Trophy/Achievement? Like, wouldn't Year of the Klingon be an ideal time for a fix??? It's often said that the people who knew the code are gone. Surely they were not the only people on the planet capable of dealing with this, or the Trophy/Achievement System. Can't someone else with the skill set be hired short term for the hours / days /weeks it takes to make the change? It's so odd that a feature on consoles was broken and not rectified. Does anyone know of any other game that has a Trophy/Achievement that was made unobtainable in a (current) live console game? It shouldn't be such an issue, but it is so odd for a game company to have a live game on console with the Trophy/Achievement System broken. Surely it can be fixed? Surely it doesn't take dressing as clowns or a change.org petition. Surely, the company has the ability to get it fixed. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 May 2021 10:30 PM PDT So, I did the mission "A Step Between Stars" and got the EV suit, and it have pretty high protection values, so I want to ask, does the EV shite protect you as an armor eventhough you didn't activate it? [link] [comments] |
