- Tip: If you need to get too much loot, like on Ninth Rule, map your alternative F/interact key to shift+mouse roll down, instead of pressing F a lot, you just keep shift pressed and roll down the mouse. It is faster.

Posted: 19 Apr 2021 10:56 PM PDT Captain's log. Star date unknown. April 4th, 2063. Again. Today I prevented the Borg from altering the events of First Contact Day. Again. By my count this represents the 14th time I have done so, yet none of my bridge officers or Seven of Nine seem to remember, though they have been there with me every time. At first I thought my first officer was playing some type of elaborate "April Fools" prank on me using the holodeck, but I now suspect that I am the victim of some type of temporal anomaly. Despite my attempts to alter the flow of events, I keep ending up back in Bozeman the next day, albeit the SAME day. I have tried doing nothing, but surprisingly the Borg seem to wait for me to initiate combat before proceeding with each consecutive element of their plan. I tried standing in a campfire to see if the pain would wake me from this dreamscape. I was burned but did not "wake up." Interestingly enough, I can pet my Targ of Grethor and remain unsinged. It appears that the fires of Grethor pail in comparison to those of Montana, my true hell. I digress, my mind is slipping. Yesterday I tried equipping a reverse engineered assimilation module in order to unite the humans of Bozeman into my own personal collective. No effect. I even tried blowing up Seven of Nine by targeting a container of explosive gas she was standing beside. (Note to self: Seven can be a real b**** if you don't equip a frequency remodulator...) I'm not proud of the things of I've done. I've performed more memory wipes on innocent campers than I care to remember, but yet I cannot free my own mind using the same technology. Nothing I try seems to change the eventuality that I will, again, heroically -- of course, stop the Borg and awake once more to the same task. I have Zefram Cochrane's own shotgun from an alternative timestream; perhaps I will attempt to shoot the damn Vulcans myself. For the love of Q, what I wouldn't give for some Tholians right now just to spice things up. End personal log. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Apr 2021 05:52 AM PDT Just want to say I really loved doing the Klingon Recruit event. It had been forever since I did the complete storyline and I thoroughly enjoyed almost all of it. Seeing the devs take their time going back through existing content to add in VO actors and characters and tightening up story arcs and environments. I never really played with my Delta Klingon. Certainly didn't play with cloak or melee attacks. This event changed all that for me and made me more comfortable with different styles of play. So kudos on that. Kudos on updating Delta recruits to have some more rewards. Thanks for keeping things fresh and fun. The end of Age of Discovery makes very little sense though. Seems like there wasn't time to put in some more content for that arc? People are acting like they know me, but I hadn't met them before? [link] [comments]

Hopefully this means more Michael Dorn/Worf VO is coming soon Posted: 19 Apr 2021 08:48 PM PDT Today Michael Dorn tweeted this:
https://twitter.com/akaWorf/status/1384232487656640522 A lot of people got excited that this meant Worf was going to be in a new show or movie, but apparently not: So if he is reprising his Worf role, but not in a new show or movie, hopefully this means he's coming back to do more VO for STO soon :) [link] [comments]
Why do people overwhelmingly prefer the refit enterprise A? Posted: 20 Apr 2021 09:26 AM PDT Do people actually prefer the refit enterprise to the classic TOS one? I think the refit gets rid of the organic and streamlined design of the original pre refit design. It was more retro and didn't have the "glowy blue bits" just because. The deflector was a dish and didn't seem too advanced and the nacels weren't as exposed and vulnerable. Can someone please explain to me the appeal of the refit with the boxy nacelles and the paneled hull? The ship honestly just looks less advanced and less majestic somehow. [link] [comments]

Klingon DOFF assignments expect Federation DOFFs Posted: 20 Apr 2021 07:15 AM PDT I'm trying to do the Marauding recruit task but I noticed that a number of assignments are requiring a Federation DOFF. Some examples are:
Some doffs have that red KDF outline and some have the Blue FED outline. I do not have any Fed DOFFs in my roster. [link] [comments]
The curious case of Admiral Garrett Posted: 19 Apr 2021 02:51 PM PDT I've been rerunning some of the AOY missions with ym TOS captain and I've noticed something odd. Admiral Garrett has been rerecorded with a new voice actor. I played these missions last week and he was still voiced by Vic Mignogna. This week he seems to be someone totally different. Nothing was mentioned in Thursday's megapatch. What else has been redone without us knowing? Edit: Somat, the Vulcan scientist from the Pahvo missions has also been recast [link] [comments]

Question(s) about 3d printed ships Posted: 19 Apr 2021 04:47 PM PDT Are the 3d printed models of sto's player ships still a thing? Is it something that may happen for consoles? I'd love to have my assault cruiser (sovereign parts) with the bozeman vanity printed out on my desk. [link] [comments]
How would you feel if STO played more like a traditional MMO? Posted: 20 Apr 2021 05:51 AM PDT Do you think it would be more enjoyable if STO had more of a focus on 'dungeon crawling' and endgame raid content with encounters that were heavier on mechanics and a heavier emphasis on PvP content? Also with larger maps that encourage exploration kind of like New Romulus. Or any gameplay changes like optimizing rotations and weaving oGCDs? What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]
I know we all dislike lockboxes, however, we need to remember... Posted: 20 Apr 2021 03:45 AM PDT Lockboxes are what are keeping the game in the black. When a game is 100% free to play, they have to earn money somehow, I don't like them but its a necessary evil to getting free Star Trek content, if all lockboxes went away, the game would either shut down or enter maintenance mode with no new content. In the end, I would rather have a game like STO that has OPTIONAL lockboxes and all content free than a game like Star Wars: The Old Republic that nickel and dimes you to death for even basic gameplay. MMO's are not what they use to be, and huge franchise games like Star Trek Online and The Old Republic are lucky to have 250-500,000 players, thus the companies have to be more creative in how to fund the game. Dominion Domination (Klingon) Reward? Posted: 19 Apr 2021 09:43 PM PDT The Dominion Domination story arc was taken down and dismantled years ago. Some elements of the missions exist today but not like it was in 2015 during the OG Delta Recruitment event. What missions need to be completed on a Klingon Delta Recruit to unlock the Dominion Domination (Klingon) reward for all other non-Delta recruit characters through the Temporal Agents? Posted: 19 Apr 2021 06:20 PM PDT So over the last several days, during ground missions, my character goes to shoot but she doesn't shoot. She acts like she's shooting but doing so while tweaking on meth. Takes a good 30 seconds for it to correct itself but usually by then, I'm already screwed. I'm too lazy to share a video of it but it's annoying as hell. I thought maybe it was auto abilities but I've turned them all off and no change. Thought it might be a ground trait or something so I switched them out for shiggles and no change. Anyone else having this issue? The toon is KDF Recruit. [link] [comments] |
