    As unlikely as it is, how cool would it be if they surprised us all with the year 11 storyline being an Enterprise-based storyline, since 2021 is ENT’s 20th?

    2021 is ENT's 20th, as I noted in the title.

    They recently added the phase pistol, the MACO rifle, and the spatial torpedo to the Lobi store on PC and Tuesday on console.

    They have previously said that it's unlikely that they do a full blown ENT storyline, just some little content adds here and there at most (see above), but how cool would it be if they did end up doing a full-blown ENT-based storyline for year 11, and did a really good job keeping it a surprise?

    They've done quite a bit already over the years - Daniels, Na'kuhl, Noye/Future Guy, Kal Dano-as-timepod-guy, Procyon V - but nothing as full-blown as they've done with VOY and DS9.

    Like I said, I know it's unlikely. But, still, how cool would it be?

    Specifically the Nova Class and the Oberth Class. Yes, neither one of these platforms were warships, but the flipside of the coin is that you have some really fanciful designs of tiny craft - such as the various pilot escorts (including the Shran, which is almost the Trek version of the Millennium Falcon) - who are stepping into that role of "little overturned boat" without being nearly as iconic as the Nova or Oberth. Their very existence seems to imply that you could theoretically stuff Defiant-like firepower into any gutted craft (not to mention that the Novas specifically started life as concept art for the Defiant).

    Frankly, while I think the pilot ships are very cool, I'd rather fly something with a bit more of a history behind it. Hell, the Oberth appeared in multiple movies and episodes, and essentially rots as a near-useless entry into this game. IMO, that's kind of pathetic.

    Cryptic should just do what they've done with every other ship that's "too weak" for the game's timeline and introduce a refit version of both classes that can use the old skins.

    Is there a Vanity Shield to force your ship to use its normal appearance and ignore equipped gear shield?

    Right now I'm using the Reman Covariance shield because it's the best I can find and also I have the total Romulan Rep set.

    And while it makes my ship look reflective and cool in some places, in other places I turn glossy white... and I lose all the custom pattern work I did on my ship.

    Is there a way to disable the gear shield appearance, like a "blank" vanity shield or something?

    I got 2 of those infinty tier 6 prize boxes for the tier 6 ship, one on my Fed main and the other on my KDF main. Plan was to use both those to get the Terran Warship when its added to the selection, one for me and the other for my Boyfriend. It says the Warship is FED only, so will I be able to use the prize box on the KDF toon to pick the ship and trade it? or is it like the Tier 5 prize boxes where you'll only be able to choose from faction appropreate selection?

    If PvP is never going to be emphasized again, what is the point of the factions at all?

    I understand that the idea of Federation Vor'chas or... uh... Klingon Excelsiors is offensive to a lot of the community's collective sensibilities (and, under certain circumstances, I definitely agree with that), but what the heck is the point of having competing factions - and their associated starship/planet/station restrictions - if PvP is going to be treated like less than an afterthought? (Also, it must be mentioned, even the story seems to have turned against the traditional Alpha and Beta Quadrant races being at each other's throats).

    Under alternate circumstances, I think I'd feel very differently about this. I like (love, really) the idea of STO PvP; I think it should be an enormous component of the game. And, in that scenario, yeah, I'd want to keep the sides as pure as possible, not only to make one faction or the other have a different 'flavor,' but also because the aesthetic of pure Klingon vs. pure Dominion (or whatever) tickles a distinctly Trek-oriented nerve.

    But if we're going to carry on in this way, with PvE essentially being the ONLY game; with the story just relentlessly pushing everyone together into one, big, homogenized galactic family, then why perpetuate these dated restrictions on who can fly what/visit where? I can be swung either way on this thing, but only if the development team is acting logically. And they aren't. (And yes, I know that development dollars are limited and that this is a very small game. But that doesn't exclude cleaning up certain aspects of STO and making them attractive again).

    Reputation where to start?

    So, I'm coming back to game after not playing awhile. The last time I was heavy into the game the dyson rep, had just started. There looks like there is a ton of new ones since. Anyone recommend a starting point for ones better than others. I have toon across the board as far as builds. Just looking to spend my time wisely.

    Hi so I've been in a few fleets over the years haven't really had good experiences with them, feel like most of them are very cliquey and keep to themselves or just want donations all the time, and when I've asked for help I've been ignored, I'd like to join a fleet that has decent communication so I can actually get involved in the game rather than feel like I'm playing by myself all the time.

    So if anyone has any terran fleets on Xbox one with a discord server or something that would literally be amazing, I'd say I'm quite an active player.

    EV suit visuals

    Can anyone explain why on some of my chars equipping an EV suit changes the outfit visual immediately and on others the suit visual does not appear until the suit is activated and then reverts to the normal outfit again when deactivated?
