    Advice on T6 Science Ships

    As the final part of the campaign is coming up, I find myself in the position to be able to get a new T6 ship - currently I have the Somerville Science Vessel (from the charity offer a while ago) and the new T6 Risian Ship, but that's it.

    There are so many options, and reviews, I'm a bit lost looking at what would be a good use for the token (or possibly the Lobi - I don't know if those are better) so any advice is greatly appreciated.

    I'm going for an EPG build along with Beam Weapons, if that makes a difference. I suspect I'll want a Science vessel, but other than that I am open to suggestions!

    What framerates are you all getting on PC?

    I've played this game with the following cards:

    • GTX 970
    • R9 300
    • RX 570
    • GTX 1060 6GB
    • RTX 2080 Super

    and framerates are wildly inconsistent. My last card was the 2080 Super and even on High and reduced the amount of particle effects and lowest AA, framerates are between 47 fps and 130fps. I have set and disabled frame limits but its all just so inconsistent. Some ground maps have high framerate, some are laggy, even ESD is inconsistent. Some space missions have the fan go crazy and make temps go to 95C, some don't.

    Is there something wrong with my machine?

    There were a number of great outfits for K'Ehleyr in "The Emissary. Including the hair with decorations, initial outfit, the outfit she wore to exercise... and the glove from the training program as a weapon?
    Seems like these would have been perfect YotK additions.

    I'm currently running the t6 shepherd fleet ship and I'm loving the seat layout and console layout too not to mention how long the slipstream speed lasts but I'm about to finish off the yearly event campaign and will be selecting the lobi and finally be able to get the Kelvin Intel dreadnought but I don't know if I'm ready to give up on my shepherd, any help would be welcome. If only the slipstream drive on the Kelvin would last as long as the shepherd I'd probably switch in a heartbeat

    Suggestion: The Borg should have a variant of Boarding Party in space TFOs

    How many times have we seen it happen in the show? Borg ships show up, "All your base are belong to us", they take down the shields, and start beaming over drones to assimilate shit.

    Now, I'm not saying it should take our Boffs and assimilate them. But given that it's pretty much a mainstay in Borg encounters, it's kinda sad that they don't do it in game. Maybe it could have them take multiple systems offline, or it helps them adapt to specific aspects of your build so they aren't as easily defeated (this might require the addition of some mechanic allowing us to remodulate our ship weapons and shields), it could also destabilize our hull integrity fields or our warp/singularity cores causing massive DOT. Something to make them more of a challenge like they've proven to be in the shows.
