    Account Server Down?

    Trying to log in this morning, won't get past the "Connecting to the account server" portion of startup.

    Is the server down, this morning? It's still almost an hour before weekly maintenance.

    Edit/Update #1: the PS4 launcher doesn't show any maintenance/server/downtime messages until after STO launches and gets to the 'Welcome' screen--what I was experiencing prior to this post didn't even allow me to get to that point (essentially, just kept spinning with the message I quoted), hence no message/warning, and is why I posted here.

    Edit/Update #2: since maintenance is normally run on Tuesdays, and maintenance normally starts at 7am pst, I get my stuff done a couple hours beforehand. Given that this was started, unannounced, two hours earlier, I was caught unaware.

    Edit/Update #3: what's with the down-votes? Are some people here so used to looking down their nose at others that that's all they see? Sheesh.

    I was about to drop $60 on the carrier bundle, as that was the same price as the temporal warship bundle. But since they added extras and increased the price, it no longer makes financial sense to buy the bundle!

    So now I'm just going to wait for a ship sale and spend $40, two-thirds of what I was planning to spend, and get all the valuable things I want out of the new ships.

    I really support innovations like these that keep money in my wallet and out of cryptic's hands.

    Connection Issues Have Been Unbearable Lately?

    Troubles started yesterday, and have only worsened today. I've at this point sat in character selection just waiting for my character to even load in to be selectable for over six minutes now. When I do get in, it's impossible for me to leave or even move in sector space. My ship literally just turns about but sits in place when I attempt to auto navigate, if it moves at all.

    Some context:
    Live in the US southwest (Arizona). Websites claim the server ping is good, but I'm sure not seeing it on my end. I'm really not used to this problem out here.
