PSA: "Taking You With Me" Trait Doesn't Work With the Red Angel Suit Posted: 20 Jul 2020 06:31 AM PDT Pretty much what the title says. If you use both at the same time, the Angel suit revives you and then you die 8 seconds later from the trait. I kinda figured that would happen, but just wanted to let others know after I tested it. Would have been nice for the suit to resurrect you and if it's on CD and you die again the trait kicks in, but sadly that doesn't happen. So if you plan to use the Angel suit for its ability to resurrect yourself, don't use the trait as well. [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Jul 2020 10:18 AM PDT Basically the Klingons would grow and start to see themselves as honorable protectors instead of honorable warriors. With guidance from somebody like Worf, the klingon people realize that a warrior race cannot thrive in times of peace so they embrace the idea of being protectors. Essentially their culture gets enshrined in Starfleet buy them taking on the role of its protector, embracing the adage Si vis pacem, para bellum "If you want peace, prepare for war". The klingon cultre largely stays the same but they recogonize not every species is looking for a fight and they recogonize their warrior ways are best served by protecting races that arent looking for war that are a part of the federation. The Klingon races protects the federation so that all species have the freedom to be who they are without fear of a hostile forces taking advantage of their kind ways. They would also embrace the idea that dying of old age is an honarable way to die a well because it shows that the Klingon strength was able to maintain peace thus negating the need to die in battle. Die of old age becomes proof of klingon strength and their ability to protect others. Starfleet would then be able to focus more on science and humanitarian efforts but if a hostile race tries to threaten the federation and any of the races under its protection than the federations noble protectors, the KDF will be there to maintain peace and to drive off threats. And the Klingon cultre become revered, no longer would other species see them as crude bullies always looking to start unnecessary fights but as honorable protectors keep them safe and helps protect other cultures. Any species that was a part of the federation could enlist in the KDF and learn the Klingon cultre and become protectors themselves. I dont think it would ever happen in the shows I think it could be a neat idea for a storyline in STO. Plus it would give an excuse to open the game up a little bit. I like the idea of Worf being the catalyst for change because of his unique experiences but it wouldnt have to be Worf, maybe it could be Alexander, unless he's dead. I cant remember. Or maybe a Klingon we haven't heard of. I dunno, I'm just spit balling here. What do you all think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Jul 2020 11:11 PM PDT I really, really want to see the Halloween event this year. I have been talking about it ever since I first stepped foot in Q's Winter Wonderland. The potential for this event is insane and when it was talked about in the Ten Forward Stream back in March of 2019 I was so hyped. Back then they were planning to roll out the first iteration that year in fall, but nothing ever came of it. I have my fingers crossed so hard they might break off that it will launch this year. However as with the way the world is currently, the lack of news regarding it since it's initial announcement back in March of last year and the Summer Event happening so late in the year this time around, the chances feel stacked against me. One of my favorite games to play during Halloween is Guild Wars 2 because of the sheer vastness of it's Halloween event. A complete overhaul and themed version of the main hub, a separate maze-like adventure zone, several PvE and PvP queues themed around Halloween and a ton of rewards. I literally only play that game for the Halloween event. So I'm really hoping it happens this year in STO, or at the very least we get an updated roadmap for it with some more info. Posted: 19 Jul 2020 04:13 PM PDT This is just a fun idea and idea tossing post for additional encouragement of pursuing Endeavors even though the developers time and time again said that they have no plans to do anything else with the Endeavor System. My idea is simple, every 50 or 100 Levels of Endeavor gets you a spin of a currency reward; Energy Credits, Dilithium (maybe refined?), or 50/100/200 Lobi Crystals. Outside of this maybe a choice of making one Lobi Ship Account Unlock or something Thoughts, other ideas, or discussion is strongly welcomed. And again I know developers said they have no plans - this thread is just to have fun and wait for the Risa Event [link] [comments]

Phoenix Prize Pack suggestions Posted: 19 Jul 2020 05:47 PM PDT I've started buying the phoenix prize packs and I'm wondering what prizes are worth the gain? I figured the tech upgrades for Uncommon prizes For the Rare ones I've already gotten the EMH MK I Doc Boff, the Tanius card, Red Matter Battery, the Auto Unit Doff. I've been sitting on a "Very Rare" for a while because I'm undecided. I'm thinking of keeping it and hopefully getting more to buy out the phaser set, since my build is mostly phaser stuff anyway, but I'm open to other suggestions. So far, never got a Ultra or Epic, so never even considered those. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Jul 2020 06:41 AM PDT Thinking of replacing my Polaron Beam Arrays with Withering Disruptor Beam Arrays on my JHV Dreadnought Cruiser as part of a budget build. Are they worth doing the change, (i.e. better damage, etc.) and btw I am getting them off the Terran reputation? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Jul 2020 01:49 PM PDT About a month ago I made a post asking Cryptic to bring back the medical worker promo bundle for my fleetie who was so overwhelmed with work during the start of COVID that she didn't have time to play. To no one's surprise, this request was completely ignored. Well now my fleetie is having to work around the clock again due to a resurgence in her city and doesn't have time to complete this event. Yes, I know she could just buy it out herself but I would like to request the option to buy it FOR HER to show my appreciation for what she does. Since the devs completely ignored my last request maybe they will pay attention to this one? [link] [comments] |
