    I complained about it a while back and someone pointed out that engineering team clears it. Which is alright, except you will get hit with another before eng team is off cooldown and go zipping off uncontrollably usually straight through multiple core breaches.

    Anyway, the solution is the space reputation ability Landry's Loyalty. It works amazingly well I tested it on a couple runs through Rescue and Search and at no point did the CC affect me long enough to put me out of range of the enemy and it allowed me to maximize the number of spawns I could clear before the invisible timer counts down.

    If you're like me and are running a bunch of these new Disco patrols to level ships, slot this trait immediately. Outside of these patrols it's a non-issue, but for this narrow application this is just the best.

    1. Which is honestly a better fit for a Romulan captain? Federation of KDF? And why?
    2. Any active fleets looking for a part time recruit, currently?

    For the first question, I am talking mechanically or progression wise. I know that KDF has faster and more rewarding doff assignments for dil and contraband while Fed has some more uniform options. More curious how well a Rom Cap meshes with other faction ships and boffs.

    For the second question, looking for a more laid back fleet looking willing to take on someone who may only be able to play a couple days a week. More than happy to throw doffs and dil at projects. Fleet doesn't need to be maxed out or even close to maxed out. I'll help as much as I can.

    Help Deciding on a new T-6 Cruiser

    Now with another Free T-6 Ship Coupon in my inventory, I'm looking at upgrading to a different T-6 ship from my Galaxy-X Dreadnought that has served me so well. I'm looking at two options, and while I'd like to not have to spend much more zen on their counterparts for the consoles, I'm willing to spend a little bit. My options are:

    T-6 Yorktown Science Star Cruiser

    Or

    T-6 Archon Intel Assault Cruiser

    I would plan on using a fleet module to get the Fleet Intel Assault Cruiser and make that my main if I went that route.

    I've always tended to lean towards aesthetic over functionality, but I like the designs of both the Yorktown and Archon (minus those nacelles), so I'm down to looking at which one the community thinks comes out on top.

    For reference, I'm a Tactical Starfleet player but I prefer the Yorktown class over it's tactical counterpart solely for the looks.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Which T5 ship?

    Just hit 55 and part of me feels like it's time for an upgrade from what I got at 40. It's between the Heavy Strike Wing Escort or the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort. Anybody find one more useful than the other? Would like to only buy one since it will be a real money purchase. TIA

    Question To All Newbies

    This is a question to all newbies. I'm making a guide series that will span from newb to veteran on all aspects of STO. This will of course start with the basics. So I ask this, as a new player, what concepts or systems do you struggle with starting out in STO?

    If you could provide as much detail and as many things as possible that would be great. Veterans are also welcomed to chip in ideas and things they struggled with early game and even end game or to this day. The more the merrier. Thank you in advance.

    What is the exclusive emote from the Red Alert Lootcrate?

    How ever I don't want to use the code yet as I want to know what the "exclusive emote" is cuz other wise it just gives me the walker class and the disco android/klingon which I already have both Via alienware promotions...

    T6 KDF Flagships question

    I already have the 3 pack for the tier 5 Bortasqu' and was thinking of getting the tier 6 versions when they do a ship sale on them again but not sure if they are worth the purchase at this point with having 7 KDF toons in the 50-65 range so the scaling aspect as my Tier 5 pack is already upgraded to T5-U.

    Any thoughts on spending the zen on the T6 Bortasqu' ships and their worth over the original T5-U versions of the same ships if you already have the originals?

    My KDF ships I use the most are the Blackguard, Bortasqu' Command Cruiser and B'rel. Maurder was a favorite until the release of the Blackguard when I retired the marauder due to the 5/3 weapon layout on the Blackguard. If the Gorkon had the 5/3 weapon layout instead of the 4/4 that the T5-U already has it wouldn't be a tough of an option. If they release a Legendary version of the T6 Bortasqu' first I will try and get it instead of course but for now just planning ahead.

    For reference this is what I currently have access to:

    KDF T5-U Bortasqu' 3 Pack, B'rel Retrofit, Orion Marauder, Fek'Ihri Kar'Fi, Nov Dyson Science Destroyer

    KDF T6 I have the Hat'ha, Kurak, Qib, Orion Blackguard, M'chla

    Also have all the event T5-U and T6 Cross faction ships to date unlocked.

    New Reputation system?

    So I'm used to going over to the reputation tab and spending marks there. But that was a long time ago. I'm coming back to the game after an extended hiatus. Right now (on a new character), the only thing in the reputation tab is events. So I have a bunch of Romulan and Dyson marks and no idea how to spend them.

    Am I badly forgetting how it works, or did they change it? If the latter, how do you do it now?
