I get the impression that what I'm looking for is likely part of the Discovery rep set, but since you can't preview them I have no idea what to work towards. | Hit level 65, got a new ship, now it's trash lol Posted: 09 May 2020 05:51 PM PDT Bought the game 10 years ago and played until captain. Started playing a few weeks ago and leveled a new character to 65. I was cruising along doing PVE and completing each episode in order and everything was fine. I hit 65 got a ship credit and used it. All the standard beams and photon torpedoes were better than what was on my previous ship so I kept them on. Long story short, I'm playing the Delta quadrant missions and getting my butt handed to me. My Galaxy class ship is no match for these missions, hull is about 60K and I'm going against ships with 100K+ in hull... Did I miss something? [link] [comments] | ||
| Ground traits for generic boffs? Posted: 09 May 2020 11:30 PM PDT What are the best trait combos for generic boffs? I'm looking more into usage on the ground as opposed to space, at the moment. I'm thinking Aggression, Soldier, and Creativity in that order are some of the best you can acquire on most generic boffs of most races. Though Aggression and Soldier still seem pretty rare. Beyond that I use to think Resilient was better than Peak Health but lately I've been thinking Peak Health may be better than Resilient. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 10 May 2020 02:29 AM PDT With the new (to console) Pahvos events, there's the one that allows you to do two TFOs, and the one that is supposed to have four missions. On the latter, I cannot actually click to begin the mission - nothing happens when I do. But I noticed that for each time I complete one of the TFOs, it gives me 50pts (out of 2800) towards completion of the second event. If that's the only way to complete it, at 50pts per day, then there is zero chance I will be able to complete the 2800pts necessary to complete the second event. Is this bugged, or am I missing something? I'm on PS4. [link] [comments] | ||

But I would love to see a deeper lore dive, especially around some of the newer races like the Lukari or Tzenkethi. Some real detail about their home worlds or culture. | Mission won’t allow me to start it Posted: 09 May 2020 11:21 PM PDT The mission "the contested zone" in the Dyson sphere won't work. According to the wiki all I have to do is enter the contested zone, and it will resolve the mission, but I'm stuck in a cycle of going there, taking the area from the undine, destroying the planet killers, and destroying the both fleet. | Posted: 09 May 2020 09:47 PM PDT I last logged into STO a few days ago. No issues then that I could tell. Tonight I'm trying to log in, and once I hit the Engage button on the launcher the screen goes black, the blue spinny cursor shows up, then nothing happens. Was there a patch or something with the Pahvo event or such that might be causing issues? Launcher and program supposedly up to date, and I did a Force Verify to check. Edit note: It says GameClient.exe not responding when it freezes. Trying to run it from GameClient.exe directly gives the following message: "Unable to find required game data files. If this problem persists, reinstalling the application may fix the situation." I have uninstalled and reinstalled, still doing it. AMD Ryzen 3700 GEFORCE RTX 2070 Super (4/2020 driver-newest per nVidia Experience app) 32GB RAM Other info available if it'll help. [link] [comments] | ||

| Seeking T5 Colony fleet invite (Fed Side) for scout ship purchase. Posted: 10 May 2020 12:20 AM PDT I've been with my fleet since 2014 and dont see that changing. That being said we've been on T4 colony for quite a while now. So many inactive players anymore it's been harder to keep the dilithium costs up.
