    (Possible spoiler) About the 3rd time I ran the new One Night in Bozeman (first contact) patrol, I found one of the buildings that I noticed you can HEAR the voices of Deanna Troi, Riker and Cochrane inside; this is a direct soundtrack from the movie First Contact., A really nice touch. Kudos to the Devs. Makes me want to go back and watch the movie again.

    Gagarin miracle worker

    I'm a new player, just hit lvl 40 with a rom fed tac officer and I went and bout the Gagarin miracle worker ship. Is this a good ship and does anyone have any idea how to set it up for optimal use.

    None of us were DPSLords. For reference, the character I was using has parsed ~40K. And you know something?

    The Borg. Felt. Scary.

    They didn't instantly annihilate us, but they were fucking scary. Instead of being "Oh, the borg again? Set phasers to pew." it was "Holy shit, we are engaging the Borg!"

    But you know something?

    We were winning. It was an uphill slog, to say the say the least, I was listening to some of the best uphill battle music ever put in a video game. It wasn't a frenetic shootout, were were having to work hard for every blown-up donut, and someone had to field all those probes, and they kept sending in more cubes, but you know what? We were winning. We were turning the fucking tide.

    And then it was over. "You failed!"

    We lost to the fucking timer. Not to the Borg, we lost to the fucking timer. That was infuriating.

    I was having fun for the first time in STO in ages.

    And then the game just said "Nope, you do not have enough deeps to participate in this queue; get wrekt skrub."

    Why, oh why, does it have a freaking time-fail? Shouldn't the fail condition be probes getting through? We were catching them all.

    That was just... Not fun.

    Is seeking mine subroutine from the competitive space set obsolete thanks to the new captain ability that teleports all your mines near your target? If not how would you take advantage of the mine fly to target ability?

    Styx or Atlas?

    Felt lucky tonight and bought a pack of 10 keys and pulled a T6 ship box!

    Ive been wanting the Atlas for the console for the longest time now however ive always wanted the Styx as well.

    Anyone happen to have any opinions between either ship? Im super torn right now, was not expecting to actually get a box.

    Mutara location

    Anyone else feel like the Mutara Nebula should be within federation borders? I mean it was close to Regula 1 and they were working on a super secret device...thats like putting the Manhattan project in Greece

    Epic Phoenix token and what to grab?

    So I finally got an epic Phoenix token while just grabbing the upgrade packs. It's legit my first ever one and I've not a clue on which ship is good. Any one have any recommendations? I usually like to fly cruisers/battle cruisers. My current main ship has been the Intel/command assault cruisers.

    EDIT: Sorry I'm dumb and forgot to list I do already have a few of the ships from when they were up for events. I have the Bajoran interceptor and Krenim science from anniversary events.

    Hey so can we still buy ground/space gear from the dilithium store? Used to make like real easy and I cant seem to find it anymore, these days the dilithium store seems kinda weak.

    So is that feature gone or am I just not looking in the right place?

    Has anyone else noticed more glitches and longer server wait times since getting the Lifetime Subscription?

    I picked up the lifetime sub last month and ever since, I've noticed it's at least twice as long at the "connecting to the account server" screen, longer loading times when in game and quite a few more visual glitches in game than before.

    Has anyone else noticed similar issues?

    Hey there,

    i've been using http://bit.ly/STOShips for quite a while but the owner has stopped updating the stats. Is there currently any known up to date ship comparison sheet or website available where I can check every stat as the mentioned sheet?
    I ask as I am still very interested in the discoprise which is way too expensive and I need a ship with 2 hangars and 5/3 weapons for FED; currently flying the kelvin timeline intel dread and I need something new to play with.

    STO working on a Mac – is it possible?

    Hello fellow Star Trek fans! I am looking for a possible unfavourable plan – to get STO working on my Mac. I'm a graphic designer & photographer so Mac has been my platform since art classes at high school!

    Does anyone have a guide or solution to running STO on my Mac? Is it worth my time to try and get it working...?

    My second option is to run Parallels with Windows and play STO through that. If this ends up being the best way for me to access STO, would anyone have a recommendation as to the best version of Windows to get running to play STO in an optimal way?
