    Some older things are hard to come by.

    I can get the idea of paying 200 Lobi for the "privilege" of wearing certain EV suits but then repeating that for 4 bridge officers feels excessive.

    I would like a mechanism whereby we can insert any BOUND item we own into an interface, be given a dilithium cost to replicate it, and if successful be given an ACCOUNT BOUND copy.

    If you want to make it "interesting":

    • Low dilithium cost
    • Rising success chance like with gear quality upgrade.
    • Success chance resets on "success".
    • Cost varies by "appraised" value of the item.
    • Failures still generate an item of the same category.
    • Critical successes generate INTERESTING items from the category sought which can only result from replicator errors. These replicator error variants are bind on equip. Not every item has a replicator error variant and there is notice if one does.
    • This system could possibly include outfit boxes, reducing the cost for alts as long as the box is not yet opened. (However, you can't sell the box once replicating it as attempting to replicate binds it.)

    Lifetime Subscription for a noob on PS4

    If wondering if a LTS is worth it, I say yes!
    I started playing just a few months ago and I am hooked. I was debating what I might get with the Anniversary sale but finally decided to do the LTS. After getting it last night I can say it is well worth it. Especially at this sales price. For me the extra slots are almost worth it alone. Was so tired of managing inventory. It appears those days are gone (at least for a little while). Also the ships are awesome. Just starting to explore the rest of the goodies. Happy Anniversary STO!

    How to buyout the Event Campaign Reward without crashing the game?

    Title says it all, really. Going into the events tab, then choosing Event Campaign, there's no options for it, except if you move sideways, to the Feautured events pane. And if you hover over that pane, your game will crash to Home.

    I've looked on the Zen store under Buyouts, and the only option there is the Kobayashi Maru. Any solutions, or is the only solution to wait for a fix?

    (1 day! I was one day short. Started just before the Breach event and did every day of that plus a Borg. Oh well.)

    Ten Forward Weekly 04.03.2020: Section 31 Battlecruiser

    Theme: Section 31 Battlecruiser

    Guests: systems designer Jette Leavens and ship artist Donny Versiga.

    Stream failed again, so they made an offline recording.

    ​

    • Model Cryptic recieved from CBS was low-quality and not very complete, probably due to background nature of the ship.
    • Original Section 31 battlecruiser was a kitbash of scout ship's parts, particularly nacelles, struts and bridge.
      • Seeing that, Donny kitbashed ship as well.
    • Shields won't change "hangar" area due to technical limitations.
    • Scout ship reached polygon limit and BC was even bigger, so Donny had to try to reduce polygon count from areas where we won't be able to take a good look at.
    • Visual camouflage in action: first map Mike put the ship on (off-screen) was dark and ship silhouette was obscured because of black paint.
    • Circling drones are actually flat textures, so not to burn out people's graphic cards. Pet versions that attack the enemy are actual 3D models.
    • While in swarm mode, ship have "little bit less hull".
      • Swarm mode acts as point-defence gun.
      • Swarm mode is mode, no time limit.
    • Secret mission won't pick ships while you're cloaked and would try not to pick immortal enemies (Jette: "Because that would be rude"). And won't pick friendlies, despite it being thematic.
    • Jette: "I'm not mentioning the Dynamic Power Redistribution Module, because the last time I mentioned that was... I'm gonna say at least mildly misinterpreted".
    • Swarm mode launch with pink shield looks awesome. 36:34

    Research Lab Missing Textures

    Haven't seen this anywhere else and it's yet to be fixed so perhaps the devs don't know about it but since the launch of the anniversary event the research lab is missing the carpeting in the hallways and you can see through the seams in the floor also sections of door arches are missing allow you to see through into the room from the corridor.

    It was posted on the blog I believe two weeks ago that it was Double XP weekend, but we got Jr Officer weekend...It's now advertised on the Calendar in-game for this weekend, and the blog is about R&D and Jr Officer weekend...

    Are we getting double xp weekend, or naa?
