Thoughts on FedRoms Being Allowed to Fly Kelvin Intel Dread Posted: 05 Feb 2020 06:54 AM PST Ever since I started hearing about the ships coming in the 10th Anniversary bundle, this thought has kept swimming to the surface. I am personally a big fan of the Kelvin timeline films, and love the Konnie and Kelvin Intel Dread. Problem is, I picked a Romulan captain some years back, and poured time and money into the character and have a lot of "unlock for character" ships, traits, and equipment. My biggest regret choosing FedRom (in hindsight) was discovering that I would be unable to fly ships like the Konnie, Kelvin Dread, TOS Connie, etc on my main. Fast forward till now, and we have a bundle coming out, that will allow Fed-aligned characters to fly not only the Konnie, but also potentially the TOS Connie. Most likely, a Kelvin Dread will not be in this bundle (not a hero ship and we pretty much know what is left going into this bundle at this point). So, here's my thoughts/reasons on why I feel like they should unlock the Kelvin Intel Dreadnought for purchase/use for FedRoms:

Posted: 04 Feb 2020 11:42 AM PST I took these pictures back at the end of Beta event when the Borg invaded ESD. It was a lot of fun. I'd love a wacky event like that again. I can't figure out how to insert an image so here is the album [link] [comments]
XBO console captains: a reminder that the Kobali Samsar Cruiser is available in the Arc app! Posted: 04 Feb 2020 10:57 PM PST Since we're getting near the point that folks will be on the back-end of Event II, and with Event III: Borg Resurgence on the horizon, I just wanted to remind everyone that the Samsar Cruiser, one of the account-unlocks available with the Perma-Token at the end of Event III is account-unlockable in the Arc app. The Arc Points are paired with the original achievements. The Samsar Cruiser is the "grand prize" at 9000 points (and well worth it). The Arc app tracks your progress and everything, so go check it out. Addendum: as /u/Immundus mentioned, the account-unlock USS Appalachia Admiralty card {E38/T75/S22/TAC ignore and +8 TAC to any ship} is also really <colorful metaphor> great. It's 500 AP. If you have all the achievements, minus Solanae Lore, you'll have plenty for the Samsar (and its ass-saving universal console) and the USS Appalachia card. Addendum 2: The Samsar's universal console, the Regenerative Integrity Field has saved my ass so many times over the last three years and I still use it to this day. It's one of the most useful consoles you'll ever have and I can pretty much guarantee you that you'll be using it all the time across your ships. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:57 AM PST Hello folks, Ground Elite Queues used to be, in the past, my go-to for the daily dil and mark grinds, as well as the tech needed for the upgrades I used to make. They don't seem to be very populated nowadays (I have not been playing them for about a couple of years, as I've only been sporadically playing STO). Before, it was easy to get a quick queue in for the classics: Miner instabilities, Transdimensional Tactics, Defend Rh'Ihho Station, Bug Hunt and the Brotherhood of the Sword. I have fairly decent gear as a tac captain - the Boolean, a gilded fleet armor, and the two-piece Undine ground set for the disruptor bonus. I regularly get 6k crits from the cannon. Is there any place I can look to joining queues? Finally, the STOground subreddit appears to be dead. Have all the ground discussions moved to STObuilds? [link] [comments]
If anyone is looking for a fleet... Posted: 05 Feb 2020 08:02 AM PST So once upon a time I was in an active fleet which over the years all disappeared so I've taken it over. Since then I finished 2 starbase holdings to get it to full T5 and finished K-13, I've gotten the colony to T3. Point is I'm tired of doing it alone lol. If anyone out there is looking for a fleet or would like to help me rebuild you'd be most welcome. I'm a very laid back player so and the fleet would be the same. I don't lockdown the stores and stuff after a brief provisional period you can do what you like. If anyone is interested send me a message here or in game or an friend invite @Race1 thanks! Posted: 05 Feb 2020 06:49 AM PST Am I gonna like it? I currently fly a t6 fleet escort carrier. It's a cannon build and flys like a starfighter. I love it, and have basically been flying a variants of it for years as I leveled my main character up. I think its time for a change though. I really like the extra hanger and totally different playstyle the Jupiter class would provide. I've started a new science officer but am hesitant about spending the ZEN on a ship I may end up hating. I'm also considering the Buran Class cruiser. Either it or the Jupiter would be a beam build and I'd work it up from scratch. So long story short what's your opinion on the Jupiter? Note: I like my ships/builds to be as canon as possible. This means phasers and either photon or quantum torps and Peregrin Fighters in the hanger. [link] [comments]

New player & new star trek fan Posted: 04 Feb 2020 05:09 PM PST Just started watching "Star Trek" and got into the game recently. Any advise for a beginner? Stuff to look out for as I progress or anything of the sorts? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks for reading. [link] [comments]
Is the Legacy bundle worth it if I dont really care about the ships in it? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 08:05 AM PST I know the question sounds ridiculous but its coming from the standpoint of I dont know anything about this game anymore. I havent played it in many years so its basically a new game to me. Does the bundle add things that can be applied to other ships besides the ones in the bundle and would it be worth it to buy it for those things first and then the ships? I have a Lifetime sub with some saved up stipend. [link] [comments] |
