    An Appeal for Additional Cosmetic Options and Costumes to Reflect the OG Klingons:

    Howdy folks!

    I was creating a Klingon character last night and I was trying to get as close to a DS9 Kor aesthetic as possible. While I managed to come close with the costume, I was amazed by how underwhelming the Klingon presets and customisation is when it comes to the hair, head and ridges. Sure the other factions are probably just the same, but other races in the game seem more adaptable to different combinations while the Klingon results - for me at least - always looks a little generic. Besides the 'Mogh' and 'Kahless' ridges, the generic ridge options don't have enough individuality. Even the beard options, while some of the goatees are impressive, aren't quite Klingon enough in my opinion. Where's the forked goatees and high piled permed hair? Where's the drama in a dagger shaped beard that looks like a Terran peta'Q would wear fire bombing a Ferengi moon?

    This got me thinking about my muse, Kor. And by extension Kang and Koloth. I would love to see some cosmetic items added to honor these Trek icons. We've had uniforms and other items added to reference new series like Discovery and Picard, different iterations of Starfleet, different costumes work by TOS characters like Kirk and Scotty and even episode specific uniforms from 'Yesterday's Enterprise' and 'All Good Things'. So why not Trek's three original Klingons? I would love their 'house' ridges to be added to the game, as well their individual hairstyles and their beards added to the game. As well as screen accurate costume options to set them apart from the base Klingon uniform and armour options.

    Does anyone else agree or have thoughts on this?

    I have been playing for a very long time and one of the things that has me coming back each time is space barbie. However, some uniforms are not really high quality. I am mainly talking about the TNG uniforms, DS9/VOY uniforms and the TNG film uniforms.

    In my opinion those uniforms do not really fit in with the current aesthetic of STO. Do you guys think that cryptic might update them?

    PSA: Privateer Outfit and Machine Gun (Picard Bundle) not an account unlock...

    Just a heads-up, since naturally the blog and the store describe the Picard Bundle in a different way.

    The blog just lists the things you'll get when you purchase the bundle (as if they were treated equaly, as unlocks), but the C-Store description states that the Upgrate Token, Machine Gun and Privateer Outfit are claimable only once on the character who buys the bundle.

    Huge disappointment. The bundle was controversial from the begining, but now it lost in value even more.

    The blog actually states that we'll get "1 T5 Ship Upgrade Token", as in just one, but doesn't mention the same for the other two items.

    Fake advertising as usual.

    Picard Bundle item availability clarification

    So, in the C-store, item 4 in the descripton of the Picard bundle states:

    Note 4: You will receive 1 copy of an Upgrade Token, Replica Thompson Machine gun and the Privateer outfit on the character which purchases this product.

    Does this mean the Thompson and Privateer outfit are not (re)claimable on every 'toon on the account?

    If they are an account unlock, where would each 'toon claim them?

    This time there'll be spoilers for the new TFO.

    ​

    • 1st time ever: an official early announcement of a feature, complete with playthrough!
    • "The best TFO we've ever done" - Andre's offscreen opinion of TFO
      • "Any pressure there?" - Mike
        • "It is fun." - John
    • Chain reaction explosions are a big thing in this TFO.
    • We'll be hitting J'Ula's refitting shipyard to take down her fleet while it's still inactive.
      • Shipyard is on the moon surface.
      • There'll be many turrets that we would be able both blast trough or evade.
    • It'll be race against time to destroy ships before they power up and escape.
    • Internal playtests showed several viable strategies.
    • QA team that are flying alongside Mike stated to be using reasonably-equipped characters, not super-optimized ones.
    • We also saw current new logging screen. Volcanic place.
      • Mike isn't sure it's final.
    • New music is being recorded specifically for the TFO.
    • (Oh man, an actual landscape! And it looks great from art perspective.)
    • There are fuel dumps and munition depots that will explode and create AoE explosion.
    • (Was... was that Apocalypse Now reference in TFO NPC coordinator's line?)
    • No atmosphere and low gravity, so no new flight mechanics - at least this time.
      • There were plans for atmosphere interference.
    • All that time J'Ula is flying around in sweep mode.
    • Elachi!
      • Elachi walkers!

    • What a beautiful explosions those reactors produce! Art team work produced really great result.
    • (Thank you Twitch chat person, but I heard them decently enough.)
    • That TFO is important to story.

    • Huge elachi walker! Like, really HUGE.

    • In the end, they decided to not make ground collisions damaging.
    • There'll be no elite or advanced version at launch.
    • There'll be end cutscene that didn't make it into the test.

    • There's TMP era ship in works.
      • Mike forgot that Oberth is TMP era ship. Chat did not.
    • Permanent Phoenix boxes on console are coming with the next big update.
    • No recruitment event with anniversary, but one is still coming.
    • About anniversary ship:

      • John: "It is literally a giant birthday cake."
    • There'll be blog post about TFO tomorrow, including video.

    One of the few missions I enjoyed doing and repeating cuz loot u got was 23rd century weapons or beams,and i personally love tos missions fighting beside the original enterprise,you could only do that specific mission as a fed but was still really fun todo,thoughts anyone?

    The [Particle Fragment] do not last long after the event ends and will disappear from the inventory.

    Specifically, how long do they last? Do I have to do all 75 particles in one sitting to get the Very Rare DOFF? Or, can I do it and come back later on in the day? (assuming the event is still running)

    Picar Bundle Bug Report

    I bought the Picard Bundle except it gave me nothing. I went to the c-store and it still showed it there, except it was saying that "You already have this item in your inventory." No I don't. I don't have anything from the Bundle in my inventory.

    Sovereign Refit Request

    I'm not going to pretend this is not a personal request but honestly, it is.

    For the love of all that is holy and good in this universe, could we go 100% and get the Nemesis version of the Sovereign Class with the up swept nacelles? I seen the changes that were made on Tribble and shed many a tear already. This would be a cherry on the cake.

    T6 Miradorn Raider unlocked for the account. What does it mean for STO?

    This is the description from C-Store. This is the first lock box ship that is unlocked for whole account. What does it mean for the rest of the lockbox ships? If anyone purchased the Miradorn Raider before as a lockbox ship, is it now available for the rest of the characters?
