Personal Endeavor Specialization Experience and Torpedo Firing Cycle after Recent Patch Posted: 18 Nov 2019 06:52 AM PST Hey Fellow Captains, After the most recent patch, I noticed that I am receiving less specialization experience upon completion of the personal endeavors (not endeavor experience). Was there a silent nerf? Was it mentioned in patch notes? It is pretty noticeable. Seriously unsure of why Cryptic would do this, hopefully I am not the only one who noticed, though I can understand if people really are not paying attention to the specialization experience anymore, especially legacy PC players. The other thing I noticed is firing a Torpedo is just, a 50/50 shot that it even works, maybe less, especially with Spread. Not only was the reload time nerfed (again it seems significant enough for me to notice), the Nausicaan Torpedo (I like to run one torpedo for flavor), but now it constantly fails to fire at all. Either the reload timer is reset, suddenly becomes grayed-out, or just plain fails. I know there have been discussions about this on here for some time now, but it seems worse, and more apparent to me now that I am experiencing this. Successfully firing this off when I want is pretty crucial to my setup and my DPS. I want to clear this up, are there enemy abilities, ship limitations, or anything else that actually causes this, or is it really just buggy? Happy flying, and thanks for stopping by to read this. Hanger bays or miracle worker? Posted: 18 Nov 2019 02:20 AM PST Are hanger bays more valuable than miracle worker slots? Trying to pick which ship to spend my token on, it's between the Gagarin or the Tellerite Pralim [link] [comments]
Game freezes/hangs when changing zones Posted: 18 Nov 2019 09:30 AM PST Hello. First time posting here so apologies if I'm doing it wrong(TM). I've noticed this weekend that while doing storyline missions, whenever I need to zone into a new map (it could be any type of transition- space to space, space to ground, ground to interior map/instance, ground beaming up back to ship)- my game will freeze on the loading screen. I have an indicator on the top left saying it is "patching files" but I've let this run for up to ten minutes with no progress so I eventually force the game to close. When I reload the game and try again, it seems to be 50/50 that I get the freeze again or not. This is on PC. Anything I can do to improve this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Nov 2019 08:53 AM PST So with the Foundry gone now, I'm unsure if/how it's possible to take clear screenshots of your BOFFs. I thought it might be possible through the Tailor, but I figured I'd check in here and see if anyone can explain a better way, or how to hide the UI and such to get better, clearer images. Anyone got tips or suggestions? [link] [comments]

Surgical Strike III vs Beam Overload III Posted: 18 Nov 2019 12:18 AM PST Morning Lads, quick question about quick maths: As I understend BO3 is just supperior DPS to SS3 in every way, that much seems obvious from the stats those two have... I still would like to know if I understand correctly how it is calculated, since I started using SS3 for fun and giggles on Kelvin Dred and BO3 for the same reason on Gagarin, so just to compare to bonuses: - BO3 halves the fire rate and quads the damage, so it is pretty straightforward x2 DPS vs single target for 10s - SS3 halves the fire rate, changes the base damage to 220%, so it essentially gives 10% buff to damage... not sure if this is a cat1 or cat2, though since it changes the base it probably is actually giving a 10% DPS buff? On top of that it gives 32% CrtH and 32% Acc... So to get some numbers into it: - I have 102% CrtD, with 60% CrtD, so each weapon gets 162 CrtD modifier - with ~32-33% CrtH that means that I crit every 3rd shot, so DPS-wise it should be something like ~54% damage output buff (162% CrtD, proccing every 3rd hit is a 54% damage buff?) - SS3 throws in another 32%, so now I crit ever 2 out of 3 shots, which gets me another 54% base damage... with 10% extra from SS3... So if I have 100k DPS, meaning that something around 63k raw+crits for another 37k, with SS3 it should be something along the lines of 63k+6k as base and roughly 40k+40k as crits meaning roughly 150k? Or I am not getting how the math works at all and am just wrong in every way possible? [link] [comments]

Xindi-Aquatic Briostrys Dreadnought Carrier Posted: 18 Nov 2019 01:26 AM PST Looking for help on a build on the Xindi-Aquatic Briostrys Dreadnought Carrier, it was given to me by my Fleet Leader and I would like to use it a little more, but I don't even know where to start. I'm not looking for a DPS build, just something that I can use in TFO's and doing endeavors. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]

[bug] Issue with Deflector on the Hegh'ta BoP Posted: 17 Nov 2019 01:30 PM PST Hello I just wanted to bring some attention to a small bug I found in the deflector placement of the Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey (T5). It occurs with the Hegh'tal skin resulting in deflectors changing visuals being in the wrong place. Here are two examples: In both cases the effect is above the actual deflector on the ship. While I would happily report this issue myself my bug report system in-game is well... bugged so I can't really use it. As I am unsure of how else to bring this up I was hoping posting it here could bring it some attention. [link] [comments]
Coming back after 3 years lockbox question Posted: 17 Nov 2019 10:24 PM PST What are the most useful or powerful items that have come out in lock boxes in the past few years ? What should I look for on the exchange or go after if I choose to open any lock boxes myself ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Nov 2019 11:21 AM PST Just hit lvl 61 and unlocked Endeavours, seems pretty straight forward but the Universal one has got me a little confused. It says 'Deliver 10 Prisoners or Tribbles'. Now I get the prisoners is somehow to do with Duty Officer missions but I don't think I've had any of those yet as I'm still at zero for them, so I figured I'd give ten Tribbles instead. I'm standing in front of the security officer in spacedock but can't seem to hand them over, there's no option. All I get is Duty Officer assignments. What simple thing am I missing? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
