    STO Ships Master List v1.0

    Posted: 22 Nov 2019 05:16 PM PST

Hello r/sto, long time lurker, first time poster!

This is a project I've been working on for a few weeks. The goal was to condense all information about ships into one table that can be sorted and filtered easily.Hopefully it will help people track what ships and traits they own, and figure out what they might want to get next (just in time for Black Friday!)

I hope you find it useful!

(I also want to give a big thank you to whoever manages the wiki - I would never have done this without that amazing resource!)

Update on the Mudd Store from Kael

    When Q messes with timers

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:15 AM PST

A subreddit for STO's Demorecord scene.

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:01 AM PST

STO offers a lot for people to enjoy, and I wish to contribute.

I often see a lot of interesting kitbashes, and have taken up the hobby myself. Another reason is for archival purposes, such as maps and models no longer found in-game. Third, if you are an artist, would be videos made with Demorecord.

The nature of the hypothetical Demorecord subreddit is like the https://www.reddit.com/r/stocostumes/ one; Images of creations, projects, and references and sharing the files for those interested. Further elaboration would include tips, code archives, and the like.

    Thank you for your consideration.

Two posts confirm that Cryptic's 'sale' prices are real and the original prices are fake. This is false advertising and ILLEGAL in multiple countries.

    Posted: 22 Nov 2019 05:09 PM PST

    EDIT, tweet from Kael.

    https://i.imgur.com/Fzz9lqD.png

According to /u/ambassadorkael on twitter the original prices are accurate and these items WILL be sold at those prices when the initial sale is over. If that is true, it means no law is being broken and the two sources I liked were mistaken or told wrong information.

If that is true, it also means that at some point in the near future Cryptic is going to be selling a single T6 ship for $140 and will be letting people pay that.

    ORIGINAL POST BELOW:

A comment on the official forums and the facebook page have both confirmed from Cryptic that the on sale price is the legitimate price and the sale/original price is fake. It of course was meant to be a joke, but doing this is illegal.

Sources for the original prices being fake:

Based on my research in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and probably much more it is ILLEGAL to falsely advertise an item as being 'on sale' when the sale price is the real price of the item and the item will never be sold for the 'original price' and Cryptic is blatantly violating these laws even if it is meant to be a joke.

    From the United States: https://content.next.westlaw.com/Document/I6dfb3ee4077511e89bf099c0ee06c731/View/FullText.html?contextData=(sc.Default)&transitionType=Default&firstPage=true&bhcp=1

Thank you /u/sizer714 for originally pointing this out: https://www.reddit.com/r/sto/comments/e036rc/mudds_market_a_ripoff_by_any_measure/

Bethesda with Fallout 76 did this exact same thing for their Christmas DLC in 2018 and complaints were filed against them for it though I can not find any evidence of their being fined.

Regardless of your opinion of the game, of the mudd marketplace, the prices, or the dil exchange. Advertising and selling items in this way is not only anti-consumer, it is illegal. Cryptic should remove these fake prices as soon as possible to comply with consumer protection laws.

Odyssey Bridge in new Picard prequel comic?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 12:27 AM PST

I was just reading a SyFy.com article on the new prequel comic for the Picard series and I'm fairly certain that's an Odyssey Class bridge Picard is stood on in one of the panels! Will be interesting to see if they have the Enterprise F as an Odyssey in the series.

Here's a link to the article with the image https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/inside-the-star-trek-picard-prequel-comic-on-the-vineyard-with-jean-luc

What currently unplayable NPC ships are you hoping get a usable version in the future?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 12:55 AM PST

Mine are are the Drek'Hi Dreadnought, Warbarge Dreadnought and the Ravager Dreadnought.
Such cool and unique looking ships, especially the Drek'Hi. If we do get them, I hope they just clean up the lines rather than do a full remodel, like what they did with the bread bi... I mean Jupiter carrier.

    Console exchange rate

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:40 AM PST

Hey console players. With all the talk of the PC exchange rate hitting 500. Is the console exchange rate going to keep rising as well? It's around 280 now which is the highest I've ever seen it. Should I trade in all my dilithium now or is it going to drop below 200 ever again?

How/where does the Dinosaur with lasers work??

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:41 AM PST

I bought the Dinosaur with freaking lasers, just for shits and giggles, but I cannot equip it on my character, that I bought it on (FED/Tac). If I try to put it in "device slot" it just goes red. I went to defera invasion zone, and tried using it there, but same bad luck. i tried clicking it from inventory, but I just get a message saying "you can only have 1 unique item ect." How do I use it, or where can I use it? if it is just ground FTO´s, then I will ask for a refund. Also when I press "P" to see powers, it is not listed.

    Fleet Module discount for Vizier

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:32 AM PST

I'm going to guess at a extremely high price of 14K zen that the Mudd Vizier will unlock the fleet Module discount for the fleet variant. As an owner of the attack wing variant I would hope we would also finally get this option as well

DOFF chains... do they return if you fail a step?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:13 AM PST

The chain where you used Ferasan leaves, I was at step 7/10. I actually purchased 5 leaves from the exchange for ~40k, and had the success rate at around 98%. Unfortunately it failed. Will it come back, or is that chain now dead to me?

Very small fleet looking for an Armada

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 06:42 AM PST

I have been in a small FED fleet for less than a year. I just helped a guy create a fleet. I stayed in the fleet to continue to help his numbers and very rarely contributed to fleet holdings. About a three weeks ago I started playing that character actively and noticed that only two others in the fleet were logging in.

After two weeks I send an in game message to the fleet admins and asked what was going on and if the fleet was going to continue. I have had no response as yet so today I decided (after some advise from others in game) to claim leadership of the fleet on a temporary basis. I am not a ass, I did send an additional in game message to the admins that I was only claiming leadership to keep the fleet going and will return leadership as soon as they return. Until they return I want to try and make this fleet grow so I am contributing rather heavily to the fleet holdings and looking to find an Armada to join.

That said are there any Armada's that have any open spots for a VERY small fleet with fleet level of zero? If not than I could use some advice on getting this fleet up to the level that would make it worthy of an Armada's interest. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

So do you all remember when Cryptic people told that Arc people are the ones deciding on prices of Cstore stuff, well that is false (but what is another lie in sea of lies) because Arc people say different story

    Posted: 23 Nov 2019 02:45 AM PST

So ticket was sent to official Perfect World/Arc ticket system with a question on who is authorized to decide on prices of items in Cstore

and soon after answer was given by official Perfect World/Arc person and here it is

    Thank you for contacting us.

I am sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with the pricing of some new items in the Zen Store.

The pricing in the Zen Store is decided by Cryptic game developers. I appreciate the feedback you've given about the pricing as it may help us determine what aspect of the game we can change in order to give players a better gaming experience.

Please do not worry as I will send your concern to the developers for them to review and see if they can consider adjusting the pricing of some items in the Zen Store.

In the mean time you may also post your feedback in the official forum as the developers also review the feedback sent there

So what do you think what will happen when official Perfect World/Arc person contact them, will they ignore it too

here is the picture of the reply from official support ticket https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/647743509910257685/647744521941286913/Untitled.png
