Posted: 22 Apr 2021 04:15 AM PDT Every time they warp in it's all "Resistance is futile, lower your shields and prepare to be assimilated" And then one heavily upgraded Miranda class, barely breaking a sweat, casually blasts 1 million Borg into 100 million little pieces of Borg. And this has been going on for 10 years - how have the Borg not adapted to this? Surely their greeting should be "We are the Borg, you will use us for target practice. Don't bother with your shields, you can just hull tank us if necessary" by now? Yet they still swan in like they own the place. Maybe they're not as adaptable as they like to think? How about lifting the restrictions on the cyclic modulation weaponry? Posted: 22 Apr 2021 04:33 AM PDT The Borg Resurgence event awarded these unique weapons (https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Cyclic_Modulation_weapons_(ground)#Compression_Pistol - one pistol, a rifle and a assault weapon). It is currently limited to one item per character (one pistol, one rifle etc.). I don't really see why that is - it's not really powerful. However, I see it as a perfect ground weapon for the Khitomer Alliance and I'd like to outfit my Alliance crew with these weapons - but I can only use one pistol on my character, my BOFFs can't use it. EDIT: Thanks to /u/Rescueranger778 I now know that you can just issue one to your BOFF, then claim the box again. Rinse and repeat. Oh well, this is now a PSA that you can do that! Also, I do think the sniper rifle still has visual glitches and is not displaying properly? [link] [comments]
Voth campaign... Is it possible to get the points? Posted: 22 Apr 2021 10:02 AM PDT This is my first campaign so I'm not clear on how it works. Is it possible to get enough points just from playing each day to hit the 3500 target? Thanks [link] [comments]

The most multipurpose ship in zen store to spend the Xperimental upgrade token Posted: 22 Apr 2021 09:23 AM PDT I will have one token to get a ship upgraded, and I'm looking for a ship which is suitable for multiple builds (eg cannon, DBB, beam array, optionally some science stuff too, but its a wet dream probably). Looking on DPS league, the T6 Jem'hadar vanguard is s a good candidate (at least it is listed both the cannon and the beam guide), I just wonder if there better options. (I have no preference or ship what I like to play it with most :) ) [link] [comments]

Why isn't Ba'ul stuff in infinity lock box yet? Posted: 21 Apr 2021 11:58 PM PDT It's been 10 months since the launch of Angel's Wake Lock Box and even the new Picard Lock Box has retired, yet the Angel Box stuff is still not in the infinity lock box. That's quite overdue right? Not to mention the Intellegence Agent Attache trait price is through the roof now. [link] [comments]

Quick Start Guide to Rep Grinding Posted: 21 Apr 2021 05:28 PM PDT Howdy! I've had a few conversations lately about rep grinding, and I thought I'd share some pointers. I've been playing since launch in 2010, and these are the grindy shortcuts I've landed on, over the years. Hope it's helpful! So here's a quick start guide to grinding reps:
Those are all the shortcuts I can think of! The rest you've got to work for by doing queues. I recommend hitting that random button and using your bonus rewards for the competitive reputation, since you'll rarely ever pop a queue that gives you competitive marks. [link] [comments]

New Romulus killed all the fun of Delta Recruit for me. Posted: 21 Apr 2021 11:00 PM PDT As title, I saw a post on Reddit about the Delta Recruit event and figured I would reinstall STO and try it. Overall the experience was pretty good. The regular rewards at certain milestones where you can choose the area to upgrade were nice. I followed the "golden path" as a fresh Romulan by just accepting story arcs in the order given. Then just before Lvl 50 (Subadmiral II) I get to New Romulus and its all on foot which IMHO is the weakest part of STO. The only saving grace was that before I knew about this I had just happened to select ground gear as a reward for the level because my ship was doing good already. New Romulus on top of being annoyingly slow has the ridiculous requirement that you do each instance twice, for no apparent reason. First just to clear it the second just to do the same exact quest but watch a video tape afterwords that was miraculously inaccessible the first time. Clearly the Tal Shiar forgot to rewind the VHS. This is on top of the fact that the "Boss mobs" have the ability to aoe one shot the entire group of horrible AI officers in one fell swoop. So I slog through it get to what I would imagine the last one (lava caves) annoying and slow as heck, the last triple wave boss is the most annoying aoe death fog spam. Manage to win only to have to do the same thing ALL over again including the annoying fight but this time one of them just falls below the map and makes the quest impossible to complete. Because you cannot possibly contact Dtan with a Tholian sitting in lava somewhere under the map. This is just after the slightly annoying Borg arc with some overtuned fights for someone who just leveled up through story. Some of which you are supposed to get NPC backup that bugs out and lets you die. The only saving grace there was leaving and re-entering the map ended the mission without having to solo the cube that can demolish you in seconds flat. Undoubtedly someone is going to say "skip it" but this needs to be taken off the golden path of auto assigned quests and Delta Recruit timeline. Or the novel idea of not requiring the tedium to be repeated twice for posterity. Even then I would rather it just be removed and optional. I tried the "workaround" posted here but I was not able to turn in the first one until I exited back to New Romulus just to pick up the quest to head right back in. Recruitment events should be smooth and not have a cliff for a difficulty change (9 out of 10 newbies will not be able to hull tank the borg) followed by super tedious complete change of pace New Romulus. /rant over [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Apr 2021 07:48 PM PDT I just got an epic token from a phoenix box. I'm probably gonna get a ship with it as I don't yet have any t6 ships. Any recommendations? Or analysis of ones you've flown? [link] [comments]
REQUEST: Could We Get A New Roadmap For 2021 Please? Posted: 21 Apr 2021 07:05 PM PDT As the title says, I'd just like to have a little sense of where we're heading over the next 8 months. Will the Risa event be on time? Any big promo ships waiting in the wings? Timeline for the end of the civil war/feature missions. Please and thanks devs. 🖖 [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 Apr 2021 02:26 PM PDT This queue is a maze with a few mobs scattered around, and a boss phase at the end. It is extremely easy to do, and can be done in well under 5 minutes on Elite if you understand how the map works. Only issue is it requires 10 players to start. There is no real PvP in this queue, outside of a console that lets you turn into a Borg Drone to mess with the opposing side. The true PvP is that it's a race between the teams to see who finishes first. Whoever wins will receive extra marks & "Assessed Stratagems". Video of Binary Circuit Elite Speed-Run 3 Minutes 27 Seconds Pre-Game Have people running up against the door. On the other side is stage one, but there's also a console that will let one of you become a Borg Drone that attacks the enemy team. (These consoles are at the beginning of the 3 challenges, and are the only "real" PvP in this.) Whatever team hits it gets it for that stage. Only 1 team can use it per stage. (From what I saw) Stage 1 If the enemy team got a drone out, take it out before you do anything. It can rip you back or push you into the center of the stage, which equals you falling to your death. Now, for this stage, you can quickly do this if everyone knows what to do.
There's 27 combinations according to the Dev. Transition Stage 1 Kill the enemies in the room to move to stage 2. Stage 2 Same thing with the Borg drone console as before. Not as deadly here though.
Transition Stage 2 Kill the enemies in the room to move to stage 3. Stage 3 Same thing with the Borg Drone. This stage can be done is 30s if you're quick.
Transition Stage 3 Kill the enemies in the room to move to the boss stage. Boss Stage Pretty simple. Just DPS everything. That's all that matters here. [link] [comments]
You can build a bar I K-13 but never staff it? Posted: 22 Apr 2021 08:17 AM PDT I had to build the K-13 bar because I was tired of seeing that empty space plus I loved it in Trouble With Tribbles and Tials and Tribble-ations. So why can't we get a bartender to run the joint? Seems like a molar faux pas to me. I would think it wouldn't be hard for Cryptic to let us have a bartender to place there. [link] [comments] |
