| Why are the ship interiors so huge? Posted: 04 Feb 2021 04:15 AM PST I don't expect this problem to ever be solved, but I have to ask: why are the interiors so gigantic? Particularly in terms of floor-to-ceiling height? I get that these aren't submarines, and the bridge on the Enterprise D (just as an example) probably did have around... oh... 12-15 foot ceilings. But that's not what you see on most of these bridges/ship interiors, where the average height looks to be between 20-25 feet. This is even more inexplicable when the interiors that they have done to match actual bridges - like the Voyager or Kelvin Enterprise bridge (why is this bridge ONLY usable on 2 ships? It's SO good) - look to be roughly to scale. Like, it appears that someone at Cryptic made a conscious decision to convert a really intimate Star Trek setting into a cavernous, temple-like space because... reasons? I dunno. However, I have a ton of Fleet Dilithium Vouchers and Fleet Credits and am looking for a fleet where I could put these to good mutual use and also score the usual Fleet upgrades and benefits for my main (Fed) captain, plus maybe some (mostly Fed) alts too.
