    CAPTAIN: "Helmsman; set course for New Romulus, maximum warp!"

    HELMSMAN: "Aye sir. Straight ahead, half speed."

    CAPTAIN: "Time is of the essence, lieutenant! We need to get to New Romulus as soon as possible!"

    HELMSMAN: "New Romulus, sir? Never heard of it..."

    CAPTAIN: "[facepalming] If this were a Klingon ship, lieutenant, I would be well within my right to shoot you for insubordination. Fine, whatever, we don't have time for this. Set a course for the Azure Nebula. We can adjust course from there. To make up for lost time, activate the slipstream drive!"

    HELMSMAN: "Yes sir, course plotted, full power to warp drive, activating slipstream."

    CAPTAIN: "Excellent! I'll be in my ""ready room"". Inform me when we arrive."

    (Some time later)

    COMMS OFFICER: "Captain, we are receiving a transmission from Starfleet. They are informing us that we are not authorized to venture out beyond known space."

    CAPTAIN: "What? Helmsman, we were only supposed to go as far as the Azure Nebula! Why have we travelled all the way across the Beta Quadrant?!"

    HELMSMAN: "Ohhh! Stop at the Azure Nebula. I thought that was just the direction you wanted to go at full speed."

    CAPTAIN: "Lieutenant, if I can make Admiral after having been given command of an entire starship as an ensign, surely you could rub two brain cells together long enough to get us to our destination. Now: Set. Course. For. New. Romulus."

    HELMSMAN: "Aye sir. Straight ahead, half speed."

    CAPTAIN: "You know what, screw this. Computer; activate self destruct. Authorization: '1A2B3C'."

    No buyout option for red angel event?

    Hi all,

    Do you know if there will be an option to buyout the remainder of the red angel event just gone? I got to 38/40 but missed the last day... I saw a buyout option when the event was running, but it seems to have disappeared?

    Klingon Rank-Up Voice change?

    I recently hit an accolade or something - and it was not Worf saying "Congratulations General" and I couldn't recognize the voice at all. It didn't sound like Michael Dorn, JG Hertzler or even Robert Reilly.

    Any one else experience this?

    Does anyone have information about demo files pertaining to the old ESD? (Both space and interior maps)

    I've been trying to get a hold of some of the older costumes, maps, and models for archival purposes. I only got the Demorecord working on my computer about a year ago. Thus, I never had the opportunity to capture the maps of the older STO.

    For the exterior I'm looking for the launch version and the Interior Pre-Season 9

    I am aware of some "relics" in the game, two of which I found myself. I found the old Jupiter (Cloneship_Fd1_Type1) in the Contested Zone of the Dyson Sphere. The Typhoon (Cloneship_Fb1_Type1) is in Fluidic Space during the Fluid Dynamics mission.

    Is there any resource to find Demo files others made or will this have to be another subreddit?

    Tips for starting a second character

    I returned to the game in April after an 8 year hiatus. I was furloughed from work, so very quickly got my Fed toon up and running, finished all reps and enjoying grinding my dailies.

    Starting a KDF toon and realizing that I didn't ever pay too close attention to things being character v account based.

    So as a multi toon noob, are there any quick tips anyone has to maximize both?

    ex, do or can they share the same dil/ec pools? I've read about some kind of doff assignments across characters?

    The one thing I did already do was buy the account wide rep discounts from t6 reps.

    Edit: thanks everyone for the feedback and tips! stuff like the dil exchange trick is exactly what i was hoping for.

    Possible to use the Dacoit Flight Deck Carrier in the end game?

    I've just returned to the game after a few years hiatus. Back then as a new player, I played a Klingon Empire character to whom I bought a Dacoit Flight Deck Carrier in the Zen store for real money. It was a cool ship that suited the character's concept and I wanted to use it as the character's main "flagship". I remember that I barely flew it however, as I pretty much outleveled it almost immediately.

    Now as a returning player, I was looking through my old lvl 60 characters and noticed that my Klingon empire character still has the Dacoit in the list of available ships.

    So I am wondering if these days it is possible to somehow upgrade the Dacoit so it can be used for lvl 60+ content or if it is still as useless as it was back then, and I got screwed out of my real money?

    Hey people, after 8 years of sporadically watching from the sidelines, I decided to play STO again. I am bewildered by the different numbers of currencies, though not unexpected of a F2P game.

    I'd like some advice to get the best value out of purchases from this game. I've gathered that getting the Arbiter/the cross-faction bundle it comes in is a must due to its apparently extremely useful mastery trait? I am not particularly impressed with how the Arbiter or its cross faction counterparts look.

    I know we're getting a specific T6 ship from next week's event, but do the general T6 tokens to use in the Zenstore appear in those events too?

    What are your favorite/recommended starship traits for fed toons?

    I currently use honored dead, heart of soul, concealed repars, and improved pedal to the medal.

    Also, does concealed repairs work if cloaking with voth phase decoy, or intelligence team?

    Advantages of T6 Andorian escort

    I own all the Andorian escorts, I fly the T5u version because it has more hull and is missing very little compared to the T6 but I'm sure I'm going to get laughed at here for preferring that. Have I been missing something about the T6 all these years? I think the big improvement for the t6 is the .2 shield increase (at the cost of hull), the lt cmdr universal seat and the pilot spec seat.
