Unfortunately most missions are quite lacklustre in STO, but I must say, that this story arc, and this episode particularly was excellent. The original DS9 cast was handled in a meaningful way, the story did not feel tacked on, and there was quite a bit of worldbuilding. This is the aspect I feel a bit missing in most storylines, and maybe that's why New Romulus and Gamma Quadrant are the two highlights for me in the whole story of STO. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 15 Apr 2020 07:48 AM PDT I remember back in the Delta Rising days that leveling up from 50 to 60 was a royal pain in the ass since the story missions didn't give you enough xp to reach the next level. Is that still the case? I don't care for story missions and will just DOFF or play TFOs or Patrols (not those stupid Patrols from the Delta Rising story, god those were fucking annoying) to go from 50 to 65. However Photonic Command Battlecruiser does not have any abilities, although they have one more torpedo launchers (aft)." So why not? Why would the 'best' ship in the bunch have no skills? | Question About Console Account Linking Posted: 14 Apr 2020 09:29 PM PDT My question is, if I link my Xbox account to my ArcGames account, will the account on my Xbox be replaced by my account on my PC. I have STO on both my Xbox and PC each with its own characters, I just want to make sure that my Xbox characters will not be replaced by the characters from my PC account. | Question for Temporal Recruits Posted: 14 Apr 2020 08:13 PM PDT I have a TOS character I made around the time of the original launch event, but I can't remember now if I made them during the event or not. I may not have since I didn't care about the powerleveling aspects, STO already leveled you to max before completing the Episodes even way back them. Similarly just because I don't have the mission pad I can't say I wasn't part of it either, because I would have gotten rid of that after the event was over not knowing at the time it would continue to be usable or about the account unlocks. (Those I would have kept doing the stuff for once I found out about them.) The mission walkthroughs point out some Temporal Agent objectives as you go through. The first was stopping to talk to Mr. Crey in Welcome to Earth Spacedock, which I had. But I did not get objectives handed to me to check out Temporal Probes on Diplomatic Orders or Researcher Rescue. Are those hidden objectives, do I need to go looking for them? Or does not having that objective pop up mean I didn't sign up during the event? Am I missing any story content not checking out those probes, or were they just a checklist for the event rewards? I didn't care about the character bonuses, I do wish I'd known about the account bonuses, but I really care about story and lore. If I'm missing out on some I'm going to be bummed. | Posted: 15 Apr 2020 12:00 AM PDT Opinion: Yesterday's War and Future Proof are the worst story arcs of this entire game. Yes they are pretty and we see some familiar faces, but I literally never enjoy playing through them. Before them the Iconian War story is stunning both plot and content, and after these New Frontiers and Gamma Quadrant are fun, but these two I seasons I dread. So many opponents are glitchy or overpowered, the missions I'm often saying "wtf is happening", and finally when it's done I just don't care. The Vorgon, sphere builders, and krenim are flat, doofy enemies. Often in the shows it was the time travel story arcs I always disliked or thought were the weakest, and it definitely carries over to this game. Please tell me I'm not the only one who hates these two arcs lol. [link] [comments] | ||
