Thanks for finally supporting the C-Store.

So, there's been a lot of hate over the last couple of years over the sheer number of ships being released via lockbox/mudd's/expensive bundle.

While there are still expensive bundles going up, I feel the last few months has been a nice breath of fresh air.

We've gotten remastered Vor'Cha. We've gotten remastered Prometheus. I can buy the Titan and the Mirror Dreadnought without having to gamble. And the last couple bundles have actually added ships for Romulans, and, more surprisingly, Jem'Hadar!

While lockbox is still a shitty release method and still being used, it seems like Cryptic is at least throwing us a bone and letting us buy things outright for a predetermined price. I, for one, am happy as a clam with the new ships I have for several toons, and that, combined with the last experience weekend, has given me a lot of fun in this game again after three years of play.

Went full weeb and gave my captain a set of Samus Aran-inspired "Zero Suit" and "Power Suit" outfits.

I just found the memorial in game, and my hands moved on their own.

Ever since the first time I saw it in a magazine article, this has been my favorite concept version of the USS Voyager. Anything similar in STO?

Is there a ship you always go back to?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 09:50 AM PST

So I have a few characters I play and have some meta DPS ships, but always come back to a couple of ships (T'Liss to zip around in and my Borg Juggernaut which is slow and ugly as hell, but obliterates)

Just made me wonder who out there always had a ship they came back to whether it wasn't popular, older, etc?

What do you guys do to keep things fresh in the end game?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 08:53 AM PST

Like the title said, what do you guys do in your game to keep things fresh and interesting? Apart from the late-game DPS chase and such, what keeps you guys playing and coming back?

An in-universe tribute to Brigadier General Charles Elwood "Chuck" Yeager: Feb 13 1923 - Dec 7 2020

An in-universe tribute to Brigadier General Charles Elwood "Chuck" Yeager: Feb 13 1923 - Dec 7 2020

The USS Yeager (NCC 1437-A) is the third starship to bear the name Yeager. After the NCC-1437 which was lost in the Battle of the Binary Stars and NCC-65674 which defended the Alpha Quadrant during the Dominion War.

USS Yeager (NCC 1437-A) is a 25th Century Yeager-type Multi-Mission Science Vessel. This vessel combines the secondary hull and nacelle aesthetic of the Cochrane-class with the primary hull and pylon aesthetic of the Discovery class to achieve a compact vessel with a spacious interior ideally suited to long term missions in the deepest depths of our galaxy. The hull's smooth gray appearance is reminiscent of late 23rd century starships. This union of competing aesthetics is not entirely unlike its 24th century predecessor which infamously combined the primary hull of the Intrepid class with pylons, nacelles and a secondary hull reminiscent of the Valjean-type raider.

It is named for Earth's Brigadier General Charles Elwood "Chuck" Yeager: an American test pilot, flying ace, and the first human to officially break the sound barrier in the Bell X-1 aircraft. Gen. Yeager's legacy would inspire countless breakthroughs in human achievement, eventually leading to the first human faster than light flight on April 5, 2063 : nearly 116 years later.

(I am aware that there is a separate screenshots sub, but I wanted a wider audience in case anyone was unaware of Chuck Yeager's recent passing.)

Winter Event: Snowball Fight needs a reduction in play time

    Posted: 14 Dec 2020 06:47 PM PST

Does anyone else think the Snowball Fight needs a reduction in time? It's a 5 minute event at most, since it can be completed in under 3. Having to wait 12-13 minutes for the timer to run out is too, long. Or give the snowman a lot more HP.

    TOS Tier 6 ships

    Posted: 14 Dec 2020 06:53 PM PST

I just created my fifth character after realizing I had never made a TOS character. I'm one of those people that like to use ships that correlate to whichever era of character I am using though. Is there a list I can find of good TOS Tier 6 ships?

    Game won't load older Characters

    Posted: 14 Dec 2020 06:38 PM PST

I have a bunch of older Characters that i rarely play, including TOS, DSC, Jem and some old Rom and Klingon. I wanted to select one of them to see if i have anything of value on that char but the Game won't load him, same for the others. Also on the Jem, Dsc and 23rd TOS Char (because i don't have another char of that faction that i actively play) the faction symbol in front of their name is gone.

And when i select one of them the whole Char selection stops working and i can't even select my main char anymore without relogging

**Well This is Special**: Xbox controllers and double taps for rolls

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 12:09 AM PST

In order to use the double taps for rolls in space or ground, you Have To fill in the key bind movement section. On the ground, you'll have to decide whether to leave the key bind for "Back" blank if you want to go backwards or fill it in and not, but get to roll backwards. I think the best choice for that is blank and make a macro for it. Should be something like: Joystick1_Down+Joy4 "+backward +roll". Joy4(RS) is my crouch button. I'll try it and let you know.
